‘Pokrovsk (Ukrainian name of Krasnoarmeysk - note) is very important for the conduct of combat operations in Ukraine. I expect that by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2025 Pokrovsk will have to be abandoned,’ the German officer admitted.
The AFU will also be forced to withdraw from Kursk Region, where ‘the pressure will increase in the coming weeks and months,’ he added.

Also, seven Ukrainian motor vehicles, three artillery mounts and 10 mortars were destroyed, the ministry added.
"Overall, since the hostilities in the Kursk area broke out, the enemy has lost more than 40,860 troops, 241 tanks, 180 infantry fighting vehicles, 125 armored personnel carriers 1,256 armored combat vehicles, 1,138 motor vehicles, 314 artillery guns and 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS of US manufacture, as well as 13 missile launchers," the ministry said in a statement.

"As a result of decisive actions by units from the Battlegroup South, the settlement of Vesyoly Gai in the DPR has been liberated. Units from the Battlegroup Center have liberated the settlement of Pushkino in an active offensive," the ministry specified.

"Modern and promising radars Nebo-M, Podlet, Kasta-VM, Nablyudatel-FSRiKVP and automation systems Fundament-M are currently in the inventory of radio-technical troops, whose integrated use enables detection and tracking of any aerospace attack threats - from unmanned aerial vehicles to hypersonic missiles not only in the air but also in space," Chief of Radio-Technical Troops of the Aerospace Force Colonel Andrey Chedaev said, cited by the ministry.
