Magufuli complains and Kenya gets chosen by AU as the Center of Excellence for the evaluation of all the diagnostics tools that will be used and distributed to Africa for the fight against corona, In addition to conducting research on previous corona-like outbreak (i.e SARS) to see whether those diagnostics tools used then can be adobted for corona fight.
Also KEMRI had been asked to come up with a medical guidline handbook on equiping,running a lab, This hand book will be used by African countries that want to quickly set up new labs to the required standards to increase their capacity for testing. Also African countries who have a problem with the accuracy of corona testing results (you know yourslef) will use this handbook. For e.g for aa sample to be declared positive, a sample will be tested 3 times {This eliminates the posibility of a pawpaw sample bieng declaired +ve because 3 tests of the same samble have to return positive}

Like I told you before, having your labs ISO certified does not mean you get approved to conduct certain kinds of research by the likes of WHO. You have to have a proven record that you can handle qualitative research and you have already produced a ton of research that indeed prove you are capable...
