If you are insinuating that I must be in the CCM payroll to support Magufuli's efforts then I feel very sorry for you. Partisanship should not blind you to the good steps being taken by Magufuli. Fortunately, I have been free of the partisan shackles for a long time now. I don't belong to any political party - that makes me rather objective in my critiques of our leaders.

I was a CDM supporter (not a member) until last year when the inept CDM (and UKAWA) leadership decided to make fools of Tanzanians and laundered Lowassa as Mr. Clean, fit to lead us. Really, corrupt Lowassa for president? I knew right then that CDM is just as corrupt as CCM and I decided to vote my conscious. I decided to evaluate individual presidential candidates, not parties, and I supported Magufuli. We will see come 2025 - I may decide to support an ACT or CUF (if they survive the current saga) candidate - who knows. It is this level of freedom from party politics that will give us diligent leaders for our country. CDM leadership is in such disarray right now it is scary - what happened? They really need to do a major overhaul of this party's leadership if the want it to come back to its former glory. What a pity!

From your comments above you sound like a CDM member or maybe one of the UKAWA parties. I commend your loyalty to your party BUT stop labeling people supporting Magufuli as CCM stooges wanaopewa malipo (hivi bado ni BUKU 7?) toka Lumumba. This is the lowest form of discourse and I refuse to engage in it.

Corrupt Lowassa? Well, if Lowassa is a corrupt person what is PCCB doing in this country? Did they fail to prosecute him accordingly?

You were brainwashed by cheap politics at that time (during election) and decided to give your hand to a well framed and window shopped side in just a couple of seconds. Poor you!
We need a new constitution which will cater the need for strong institutions. The one man show and a mere populist approach is never a panacea for developing this beautiful and resource - rich country!

I still believe that you are in a CCM's Payroll and you are here to do your dirty job. Keep it up!

Well said Comrade. The Writer started by pointing out notable things done by Mr President. It is a good thing.

For him to be strong and successful, he must accept both destructive and constructive criticisms.
He is not perfect, He will never be. Building strong institutions and rule of law based decisions are vital in Building a sustainable country politically and economically.

Yes brethren....this is what they won't want to hear....only they want to hear is praises

If I were president I would have chosen to go with the advice.....promoting inclusiveness and respect for the rule of law. The supports of populist leaders should have learnt a thing or two from Michael Satta presidency. He started well but we all know what happened in the end.

Lowassa is not a corrupt person. Lowassa is the president (in hearts of many). We are going to remember him soon. Watch this space!!
