These are hosts of stuffs, looks like you gave a little bit of thought before posting, Lets find out:
You know JD, I am not going to answer your questions sentence by sentence instead I will just talk to you, man-to-man. You are trying to prove theories by propositions, contradictions and tautologies. This is not a philosophy class, this is real politic. Sometimes hunches and intelligent insights (especially from people who have been on the face of this earth for as long as I have) are more useful than rigorous logical analyses and conclusions.
When you are making judgmental opinions, there has to be clear standards with respect to how you arrived there, much like an auditor has to indicate the audit findings that have enabled him to form the audit opinion…..In politics we've got to be able to distinguish between facts and opinions and the recognition of bias amongst people. Politics should be relevant to practical issues and politics is always adapting and evolving to the changing world. That is not philosophy, that is science.
I will give you an example. The day the video of Lowasa in a Lutheran church in Tabora was released, I advised UKAWA to immediately arrange a press conference so that Lowasa can explain himself what he meant and apologize to anyone who was offended. I even gave the verbiage of an example to use "liking his statement to family rituals (tambiko) where clan elders pray to the ancestors to help at least one clan member to go to Ikulu." People do it all the time and if it is explained from a tambiko perspective most Tanzanians would understand. I suggested that this had to be done immediately to diffuse the situation.
UKAWA did not do it. Instead, some surrogates paid lip services and let it go. Look what is happening now. The Muslims just issued a press release condemning Lowasa and his right hand man - Bishop Gwajima. This is a serious PR problem now for UKAWA. If they had diffused the situation then, now it would be old news and wouldn't have the traction it is getting. For me it was a no-brainer when I gave that advice. Intuitively, I knew if it was left unexplained by Lowasa himself it could anger a group or it could be used by CCM.
This is hypocrisy….while you were busy advicing UKAWA, what advices did you give to CCM with regards to messages like "
mwaka huu mchagueni wa nyumbani" to the people of the lake regions, what about the famous Nape's "
bao la mkono", what about Ridhiwani's "
Rais hawezi kutoka kaskazini", What about Mkapa's "
Wapumbavu, malofa, mbumbumbu"…..
BTW what about videos going viral about muslims being adviced by their leaders not to vote for CCM this year? I want you to understand that there are a lot of Muslim videos out there, let's put them aside and let's get to the
facts…and some are often disowned by majority of them….what you should have done is to condemn that video or any such video wherever it appears because a few leaders of religion should not decide for millions of people who their next President should be….. that's is stupid…..
We haven't seen leaders of Christian churches (including Lutherans) setting up stages and telling people which candidate to vote for even though they are showing their own individual preferences like me and you……..
I'm not a Lutheran but I don't feel isolated in anyway….I think that is due to the fact that I'm not easily carried away by people preaching religious differences…..
Nevertheless, there is nothing serious about the Lutheran issue and I know it often get exaggerated by Lowassa's opponents, where I live I have a lot of Muslims neighbors, and they are fed up with CCM, I think partly because they recognize that problems we face as a nation are neither Muslim problems nor Christian problems, they are Tanzanian problems.
Now tell me, since you like quoting examples from all over the world, which presidential candidate insulted a major tribe or a major religion in a country and was rewarded by being elected? Stubbornness like yours, Lissu's, and the like is what is killing UKAWA. You don't take advises. You just argue for the sake of argument. This has put CDM in the position it is now.
Kikwete. He said in 2010 CDM will favour Christians and CUF will favour Muslims, so people were confused by the conundrum createdby then then presidential candidate. He even said CDM will favor the Chaggas. He was elected President for the second term. What I'm saying is that many people are self-determined not to be driven by CCM's propagandas that worked several years ago. I always say before you give advices to the other side, first look at your side and ask yourself, Do my side need this advice??
CDM, a party whose name when mentioned used to bring fear to other parties including CCM, is now reduced to a basket case party - to be pitied? There are too many captains guiding this ship - UKAWA and the ship is going in circles. This is the internal instability I have been talking about but would you listen to me, Noooo!
There are internal disputes in CCM, is January Makamba the new PR, haven't you heard how CCM's campaign team is split apart? I always tell you, before you accuse the other side, take a look at your side and ask yourself, Do my side have this problem?....May be you think people don't know or maybe you don'tknow……
In 2010 CDM was stalking and harassing CCM to have presidential debates and CCM ran away - today CDM has become this timid - really? Are there any more thinkers left in UKAWA? Who is in charge in UKAWA? Is it possible to have the old CDM back, please?
Do you think it is possible to have CCM of Nyerere back to replace the corrupt CCM that we have now? A president who doesn't know why Tanzanians are poor!!!!do you think Nyerere would have said that? Do you think there is anything that CCM can tell people in that debate???
I'm just thinking about what might be said in that debate, economy is doing bad, many people are jobless, many people are poor, millions of people are not healthy, no clean and safe water, electricity is a disaster, contracts regarding our natural resources are not transparent, the President spend Tsh. 4.5 Trillion just in foreign visits, The state house distracted accountability on Escrow beneficiaries, the system is so corrupt and rotten (Meremeta, Mwananchi Gold, EPA, CIS, Richmond/Dowans/Symbion, Kinana's Ivory business, ANBEN, Simba Trust etc) the list is just so long….I think that debate would be a waste of time…
US got its independence in 1776, but the first general Presidential debates was not held until 1960 (John F Kennedy - Richard Nixon), that is
184 years later….the point is, when you have a corrupt system to the level of Mohammad Reza Shah's Pahlavi dynasty before the 1979 Iranian revolution…you don't call for debates, you call for changes, changes that free people……
No one gives Lowasa any useful advice. He surrounds himself with fellow CCM implants and you guys let them? The message from the Muslim organization to all Muslims in the country will definitely eat away UKAWA's votes. It doesn't matter whether it is from a few people or was instigated by CCM. The fact remains that Lowasa missed an opportunity to diffuse it because of the stubbornness of people like you. You don't have to do analysis all the time. Sometimes intuition is better than data analysis.
You are really trying, but I'm sorry the is no new trick or gimmick coming from CCM…those people you call implants know the game really well, don't you think?..because they have played it before….. So, eventually CDM took some players from CCM and gave them positions in the middlefield, defense and striking, they know the weaknesses in CCM's defense, middlefield and goalkeeping and they have shared that with UKAWA.
My grandpa used to say "AKILI NYINGI HUPUNGUZA MAARIFA"
My great grandpa told me "AKILI NI NYWELE, KILA MTU ANA ZAKE"
