..Tough times for Precision Air...will the TZ Government bail out this company??...

....Sad news is around for the near collapse of precision air (PA)....due to massive financial crisis they currently face ... forcing them appeal for 51 bil tshs bailout money from the government and other possible sources....

My take...


  • Will the TZ government grant bail to Precision air?...considering the fact that the TZ government is in crisis itself! (lack of national airline)...
  • Will the PA chairman (mr.Shirima)consider selling out his shares (he currently owns 43% of PA shares)to the TZ government?...or Kenya airways (who own 41 % of other shares)?..
  • Should TZ re-consider decisions to inter into joint ventures in the airline industry??....considering what happened with air Tanzania/South African airline venture...and now PA/Kenya airways venture....what are we learning from these ventures as Tanzanians????....why is it that others continue to develop...while we (TZ) end up failing from these ventures???......

PA wanajitahidi walionyesha perfommance nzuri, they desrve (stahili kusaidiwa) the grant support.
 
Serikali isikwepe wajibu wa kuisaidia Precision Air kipindi hiki ina matatizo. Ni hii hii serikali iliwahi kuyasaidia makampuni yanayofanya biashara ya Pamba baada ya Financial Crisis...

Kwa kuwa Precision Air ni shirika la kitanzania, limeajiri watanzania na limekuwa likilipia kodi mbalimbali hapa Tanzania, si vibaya serikali ikaipa ka stimulus package kujaribu kuliokoa.

Napenda kupingana na dhana kuwa PW ina matatizo kwa sababu na ubia na wakenya kwa kuwa hata KA nayo kwa sasa ina mihangaiko ya kiuchumi. Sidhani kama kutofuata ratiba ya safari na kuahirisha au kuchelewesha safari kila siku inasababishwa na wabia kutoka Kenya. PW wana matatizo ya kiutendaji ambayo wanatakiwa wayatatue, hasa uongozi mbovu.

I dont think so if tz gov can bail out this company as we know that even its plane firm fails to save it.. what about shares from public?

Hawa jamaa wanazo ndege tayari na wafanyakazi na infra structure zote za biashara, kwa maana hiyo wanahitaji STIMULUS PACKAGE kumaliza matatizo yao yanayofanya washindwe kumudu ushindani. Hawaombi mtaji, mtaji upo tayari.

Ishu yao ni tofauti na ATCL ambayo hata ndege haina, hivyo wanahitaji mtaji kwanza ili wanunue ndege nyingine. Sidhani kama serikali inao uwezo wa kutoa hizo bilioni 50 lakini ikiwapa hata bilioni 10 kuokoa kampuni sio mbaya. Kumbuka hata marekani mashirika ya ndege, mabenki na makampuni ya magari kama General Motors yalipata stimulus package kutoka katika Federal Fund na sasa yanadunda na yako fiti yanatengeneza faida.

I believe we are DOING IT THE WRONG WAY. Rather than focusing on the growth of the JV (with benefits accrued helping in further growth of a local partner) we are SELF CENTRED-what do I GET personally in the deal is OUR FOCUS when organizing these JVs.

...thats why i put forward a possibility....for Mr.Shirima to sell his shares (and those from the public ofcourse) to the government...this is one case scenario for Mr.Shirima to save the company from total collapse...if all other possible sources of funds will fail....I think this option will better suit Tanzanians...than selling all the shares to Kenya airways (KQ)........just my take though!!

...ndio hapo mkuu...ndio sababu nimeuliza...je serikali ambayo haina ndege na shirika lake limekufa itaweza..au kuwa na courage ya kununua....ama kusaidia shirika la ndege binafsi???hili ndio swali kuu......

tatizo kubwa la tanzania ni kutokuwa na watu wa kutatua matatizo ya nchi hii,bali tuna watu wa wanaotafuta opportunities za kupiga hela kutokana na matatizo ya nchi hii.
 
Kwa monopoly waliyokuwa nayo PA haikutakiwa kuwa kwenye hii status. Hii ni kwasababu ya decisions mbovu za investment na expansion. Kuna investment ilifanya na kuna operative decisions walifanya wakati mmbaya kwao. Kimsingi wahawakutakiwa kuexpand kny international trips kwa kasi kiasi kile. Poor decisions ndo chanzo cha precision kuwa hapa.

Bahati mbaya mkuu hujajua kuwa kampuni ikiishakuwa na hali kama hii ya PW kwa sasa kuuza shares sio option kwa kuwa hakuna atakayenunua. Kwa hali hiyo ya sasa option za karibu ni nne tu...
  • Merge with other company
  • Acquisition by other company
  • Liquidation/ death of the company
  • Government assistance...
Ambacho watanzania hatujui, (may be kwa kuwa serikali yetu ni maskini sana), ni kuwa serikali inao wajibu wa kuyalinda makampuni yake. Hivyo ni wajibu wa serikali kuiokoa PW.

...you may be right....because even in the PA... i was amazed to see that only one individual(mr.Shirima)is owning majority of shares in the company (43%)....for this its possible that personal gains in the deal may have been the factor...especially when it came into human resource capacity building and recruitment......
