“We would certainly want to share with our investors the success of the Johannesburg route. We would certainly want to announce new international routes,” Richard Bodin, the company’s chief commercial officer said.
He further said that his company is also looking to add more domestic flying. “There is an airfield called Songwe, which is a very strong destination within Tanzania, we believe that will be operationally ready for us in the next few weeks,” he said.
FastJet operation continues to grow month-on-month. Passenger statistics in July showed a better than expected increase in passenger numbers. With the introduction of more domestic and international routes, the company will definitely see the low-cost airline record increase in load factor.
“Fastjet has reported 14 percent increase in flight numbers in July. We would expect those numbers to continue to grow as we are looking to add more domestic, and indeed, international routes.
