Uchaguzi 2020 Tundu Lissu is not Presidential Material

What makes Lissu a presidential Material is
1. He cherishes the rule of law, his unshakable commitment to law and justice since the times of Bulyanhulu saga conforms to this.

2. He is fearless and courageous, he can make a good commander in chief, who will protect the boundaries and interests of the country without fear.

3. He has a high I.Q and E.Q, these distinguished traits can make him a great president with sound judgements, development visions.

4. He is democratic, he abhors any forms of dictatorship tendencies, therefore he will steer the country towards her constitutional charter that explicitly states that " This Country is a democratic country".

5. Just like the former president JK once stated " No school for learning how to govern as a president", I don't see why Lissu can't make a good president while in every mission that he had undertaken either as a freelancer activist or a politician he had left a mark that distinguishes him from his peers. So to cut the story short, Any person who stands for people, craves for their freedoms and liberties, a person who is hurt on their economic woes and has ability to make their lives a little bit better, deserves to be their leader.

..Last, he has a compelling life story. My Nigerian friends would have said : " His tori gon spaya you." I believe with a skillfull campaign team backing him he can be presented as an inspiring candidate.

..Again, I agree with you that he is NOT a Presidential material,but...but I think he there is something interesting/intriguing about him.

He has all the qualities of being a learder including a power of enspiring people then he has long way to go??

Again he needs transition period then how can you compare this to Pombe? This guy came out of nowhere, from the jungle of Geita and became president. Fixing roads, buildings etc as a minister

Is this particularly mean for Tanzania or worldwide leaders
Understand that here in Tanzania most of the factors are not constant, the one who becomes CCM nominee for president is automatic learder

..yuko kisheria-sheria sana.

..inabidi aanze kuchambua na kuchangia maeneo mengine kama kilimo, elimu, viwanda, fedha, uchumi, etc.

..If I was the Leader of the Opposition, I would reshufle my cabinet and appoint Tundu to ministries such as Agriculture, Industries,...in order to give him exposure on the challenges our country is facing in those sectors.

..I am not questioning his values or work ethics, I just think he has to prove that he is more than just a human rights activist.

But I’ve said it so many times, right here and elsewhere, that he is not a presidential material. He is, at best, a political gadfly, and maybe, at worst, a rabble-rouser.

Presidential material is different from ‘presidential materials’.

Nyani Ngabu did you ever think Trump could be a President and to that a President of the USA - the most powerful national in the world. By the way some people also thought our current president was not a material and they thought he could have been a better prime minister. Has he proved them wrong?

Just like we have a current president who is not a presidential material? Not TL, we have a disaster in the current president thanks to the tattered CCM party; who cares!!!

Much as una hoja maoni yangu si majina ya watu kama tunavyoangamia na rais wa sasa. Mfumo wetu wa kupata rais ni mbovu sia ajabu kuwa na rais wa hovyo kabisa. Mfumo mzuri utawezesha wapiga kura kuchuja na kusimamia ubora wa utendaji wa rais kupitia katiba isiyoweza kuchezewa.
