Na ni ngumu pia kaumini kuwa hizo zilikuwa local contribution kutoka kwa wananchi na wala si donation iliyosemwa na mwandishi hapo post za nyuma kuwa wakristo na taasisi zao zinaendeshwa kwa donation.

Kila kitu kinaji-contradict ndiyo maana tunasema maandishi mengi hayasimami katika ukweli zaidi ya uchochezi.

Una uhakika gani kuwa walioko kwenye zile list za majina ya wasomi wa kiislam, ni waislam kweli? Ninacho kiona pale ni majina ya kiarabu arabu. Kumbuka kuwa hata wakristo na wapagani wa huko wanatumia majina hayo hayo.

Ni kweli unachosema huku nyuma wote walikuwa wanatumia majina hayo hayo.

Lakini hawa niliowataja mimi wote ni Waislam kama unataka kujilidhisha basi mpitie moja mmoja usome maelezo yao yameandikwa.

Ritz, wewe endelea kumeza ngano lakini kumbuka "good is never enough where better is possibe" Hata tungekiri kuwa wazee wa Mohamed Said walikuwa good, the truth remains that they weren't good enough...they may have been good, but there was someone better being awaited. Once Nyerere stepped in, like tsunami, there was no stopping him...Abdulwahid Sykes tried, Zuberi Mtemvu tried, AMNUT tried, UMT tried but they all fell by the wayside. Better, like always, triumphed in the end and marched on!

Ritz, take a moment and ask yourself, why didnt Abdulwahid, with all his flamboyance, wisdom and leadership skills, become the first President of TANU? Why didnt Abdulwahid, with all his following, admiration and unparalleled charm, become the first President of Independent Tanganyika? Who, before 1961, made sure that the names of "wazee wa Mohamed" didnt spread like wild fire across Tanganyika and all corners of the country and so be able to live on by themselves without some disgruntled Mohamed Said digging them up? The answer to all these questions is that they didnt have what it takes to be that kind of leader.

Ritz, dont just be an automaton, totally lacking in independent judgment like Mohamed Said's zombie! Be curious, ask yourself why, inspite of his ridicuolous claims, he is playing down the roles of the first Presidents of AA in 1929 (Cecil Matola), TAA in 1948 (Dr. Vedasto Kyaruzi) and TANU in 1954 (Mwalimu Julius Nyerere) and why, not one of his heroes, was ever a founder President! Ask yourself why he is trying his best to playdown the role of Governor Sir Donald Cameroun in the founding of AA and even providing a dwelling? why, why, why!

Kwanza naomba unielewe mie kuyaleta hayo majina siyo kwa ajili ya kubishana.

Kuna mwezetu nilikuwa najadiliana naye akasema akasema dini ya Kiislam ndiyo sababu ya watu kushindwa kusoma nikamwambia siyo kweli katika Uislam Surah ya kwanza kwenye Qur'an IQRA tumeambiwa tusome.

Ndio nikamuekea hayo majina nadhani umenielewa hayo mengine siwezi kuchangia.

Cha muhimu nilichojifunza kutokana na mnakasha huu ni kuwa makini na waandishi.
Yupo jamaa mmoja tukiwa wadogo alikuwa anatutisha sana, "Usiende kwa yule bibi ni mchawi na sisi
sote huwa hatuendi....atakuroga. Ameua wengi tena anachukia sana watu wa mtaa wetu".

Na kweli kwa kiasi fulani alifanikiwa kwa sababu alikuwa anajua kuumba uongo na kuubadilisha kuwa "ukweli".
Wapo wenzangu ambao walianza kumuogopa yule bibi na kumtenga. Lakini mimi kuna wakati nilikuwa nikienda
na sikurogwa kama ilivyokuwa inasemwa.

Ajabu moja kubwa ni hii: Yule
bibi alikuwa ana uwanja mkubwa na sote pamoja na yule jamaa mzushi tulikuwa tukienda na kucheza raha mustarehe na kwa amani kwenye huo uwanja.
Tena wakati mwingine tunachuma maembe kwenye miti yake bila bugdha!!

Lakni yule mzushi haishi vituko kumsema vibaya yule bibi, na zaidi wapo waliokuwa wanamfuata yule jamaa kwenye
hadithi zake za uzushi. Sasa baada ya kukua nikagundua yule bibi alichukiwa kwa sababu wakati huo alifanikiwa
kimaisha tofauti na Babu/bibi yake yule mzushi. Jambo zuri kuhusu hili ni kuwa zile chuki hazikurithishwa kwa kizazi
cha mzushi.

What a coincidence kwamba kila nikikumbuka ya utotoni kama hilo huwa inanisaidia kutafakari hasa kwenye aina ya mnakasha kama huu!

Mimi nilipoona upungufu katika historia ya uhuru nimenyanyua

"The Making of Tanganyika." Kitabu hiki kingempa
msingi mzuri.

Nimempa rejea moja ni kutoka "memoir" ya Kleist
semina paper aliandika Daisy Aisha Sykes 1968.

Daisy kasanifu lakini alichoandika ni kutokana na mkono
wa babu yake Kleist kuhusu maisha yake.

Kazi hii Daisy kaifanya chini ya usimamizi wa John Illife
mwalimu wake wa historia.

Daisy mimi ni dada yangu tumezungumza mengi kabla
ya mimi kuandika kitabu cha baba yake Abdu Sykes.
