LG: Ahsante kwa mchango wako na maoni. Mimi nina imani na umoja wa taifa hili kama nyie na nina uhusiano na walioanzisha utaifa wa nchi hii. Nadhani mmesoma huko nyuma jinsi babu yangu Salum Abdallah alivyopigania haki kuanzia 1947 hadi 1964 alipowekwa kizuizini na Nyerere. Kashiriki katika kila harakati ya kudai haki kuanzia TANU 1954 hadi vyama vya wafanyakazi akiwa mwenyekiti wa kwanza wa Tanganyika Railway African Union (TRAU) 1955. Lakini umoja waliokuwa wakiupigania wazee wetu sio huu wa jamii moja kuwa mabwana na nyingine kuwa watwana.
Ikiwa haya nisemayo kwako wewe ni "hearsay" sawa siwezi kukukataza kufikiria hivyo. Ikiwa unaona sijajibu maswali yako kwa namna ungependa sawa na ni bahati mbaya sana lakini ujue kuwa nimeandika kitabu kizima kueleza matatizo yanayokabili nchi yetu. Halikadhalika nimeweka humu ndani ya ukumbi vipande visomwe. Wengi wamesoma na wameelimika na fikra zangu. Hili sijasema mimi nasoma humu humu na wengine wamenipigia simu na wengine wanatafuta DVD zangu. Hivi ndivyo vitu vinavyonifanya niendelee la mjadala huu.
Ama hilo la kuwa mimi ninapostahili ni msikitini hilo wala hukukosea ndivyo nilvyokuzwa na wazee wangu na ninawashukuru kwa hilo vinginevyo kwenye hiki kinywa changu yangetoka maneno ya jeuri, matusi na kejeli. Nasoma humu maneno ya kejeli na matusi. Inanisikitisha. Najiuliza kwa nini mtu anafikia huko kote huu si mjadala tu, iweje kutukana?
Kwetu sisi msikiti ni kipozo cha nafsi na chanzo cha tabia njema. Nisingepata uwezo wa kujadili kwa utulivu, hoja na ujuzi wa kile ninachozungumza kama si ilmu niliyopata msikitini. Hapa namshukuru mwalimu wangu Maalim Haruna (Mungu atamlipa) na elimu yote akitufunza bure baina ya Maghrib na Isha wakati tukiwa watoto wadogo mno na akituambia, "Hii ilmu itakujawafaeni siku moja." Leo nathibitisha maneno yake.
Hili neno "inasemekana" na kuhitimisha kwa mawazo yangu naona linakupa tabu. Marehemu Abdulwahid Sykes kwa wanaomjua wanasema alikuwa mtu muungwana sana. Inasemekana hata pale Nyerere alipokuwa akijinadi na sifa ya kuanzisha TANU kuna watu wa Dar es Salaam hawakuwa wanapendezewa na lugha ile na wakimweleza Abdu. Angeliweza yeye kumpinga Nyerere na Nyerere asingeweza kusema lolote mbele ya Abdu lakini hakuwa anafanya hivyo. Alikuwa anasema maneno haya, "Let him be. Let him take the credit." Maneno haya kanieleza rafiki yake Ahmed Rashad Ali. Abdu alitoa changamoto mara moja tu kwa wanahistoria alipoalikwa kuzungumza kuhusu TANU na History Association of Tanzania (HAT) na ni pale alipoulizwa swali kuhusu mwelekeo wa TANU baada ya uongozi kushikwa na Nyerere. Nakuwekea kipande kutoka kitabuni:
"From that time Abdulwahid avoided involving himself in any discussion about the subject (the founding of TANU), although before his death he accepted an invitation and talked to the Historical Association of Tanzania (HAT). It has not been possible to get information on the topic presented for discussion, but it is said that one of the questions from the audience to him was whether it was not true that, Julius Nyerere had turned round the Party beginning 1954. To this Abdulwahid gave an analogy of the astronaut John Glenn, the first American to go into outer space. Abdulwahid threw the question back to his audience and asked, Where should the credit go, to the American scientists who designed and built the rocket, or to John Glenn who piloted it?
Neno "inasemekana" lisikupe tabu na kwa kuwa ni kazi ya utafiti na ithibati kamili huenda ikawa haipo ni wajibu wa msomaji kutumia akili yake kupata ukweli. Njia ni nyingi hasa kwa kuwa wewe ni mwanasayansi sina haja ya kukufundisha. La kama kwako itakuwa ni hadithi...
Kwa kumaliza na hili nadhani huhitaji sana kutumia ubongo wako...nami pia ni mwanasayansi...katika ukoo wetu tuko watatu mmoja chemistry, mwingine genetics, nakuachia utumie akili yako kunijua mimi ni katika nini.
