Hii taarifa inatumia units mbili tofauti huwezi kulinganisha, Tanzania (DWT), Mombasa (MT), rekebisha vipimo kwanzaJust to remind you all that Mombasa port handles twice the number cargo handled by all Tanzanian airports.
The first image is of all ports in Tanzania, total tonnage is 17,294,000 tonnes.
The second image is of Mombasa port and the total tonnage handled were 34,440,000 tonnes.

What you have to know is that DWT is just a general term used in logistics. It is a term with three branches;Hii taarifa inatumia units mbili tofauti huwezi kulinganisha, Tanzania (DWT), Mombasa (MT), rekebisha vipimo kwanza
Please, can you bring data which uses the same unit, I have tried my level best to understand these terminology for a long time but till today am not comfortable with them, DWT, TEU.What you have to know is that DWT is just a general term used in logistics. It is a term with three branches;
Long tone = 1,016kg
Metric to = 1,000kg
Short ton = 907 kg
Any port authority can decide to use any of the three but because Tanzanian authorities used an ambiguous word which is DWT, I decided to go neutral and not to pick any of the two ( long or short). This is because if I was to pick I could pick either the short ton which 907 kg or the long ton which is 1,016kg. Remember both tons will still be twice less than what Mombasa has.
So according to you everybody in Kenya is a youth? Why are you bringing youth unemployment yet we are talking about overall? These kinds of reasoning are manifestations of Low IQ.
TPA used DWT when presenting their figures, meaning they did not differentiate which type of tonnage they are using. while KPA used MT which can`t confuse anybody. Again as I was going through the internet I came to realize that both DWT and MT are valued as the same thing the international logistic market. You can go through this link to get more information. Please, can you bring data which uses the same unit, I have tried my level best to understand these terminology for a long time but till today am not comfortable with them, DWT, TEU.
Please if you use DWT, use for both, if TEU, use for both, never mix them.
Hahahaha, wacha ubishi wa kitoto, lete source yoyote ya kuaminika inayosema unemployment rate Kenya ni chini ya 30%, lete data za IMF, WB au ILO tuoneSo according to you everybody in Kenya is a youth? It seems you the one who doesn`t know the meaning of working population. Low IQ.Unajua maana ya working population?
If I may ask where do WB and IMF get their figures if not from KNBS? And then the latest update from WB I think is 2015 if I`m not wrong.
Wacha ubishi wa kitoto lazima units zilingane otherwise huna uhalali wa kulinganishaTPA used DWT when presenting their figures, meaning they did not differentiate which type of tonnage they are using. while KPA used MT which can`t confuse anybody. Deadweight tonnage (also known as deadweight; abbreviated to DWT, D.W.T., d.w.t., or dwt) or tons deadweight (DWT) is a measure of how much weight a ship can carry, not its weight, empty or in any degree of load. DWT is the sum of the weights of cargo, fuel, fresh water, ballast water, provisions, passengers, and crew.
DWT is often used to specify a ship's maximum permissible deadweight (i.e. when she is fully loaded so that her Plimsoll line is at water level), although it may also denote the actual DWT of a ship not loaded to capacity.
DWT DEADWEIGHT TONNAGE TONNES METRIC VERSUS DISPLACEMENT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Deadweight tonnage is a measure of a vessel's weight carrying capacity, not including the empty weight of the ship. It is distinct from the displacement (weight of water displaced), which includes the ship's own weight, or other volume or capacity measures such as gross tonnage or net tonnage (or their more archaic forms gross register tonnage or net register tonnage).
Deadweight tonnage was historically expressed in long tons but is now usually given internationally in tonnes (metric tons). In modern international shipping conventions such as the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea and the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution From Ships, deadweight is explicitly defined as the difference in tonnes between the displacement of a ship in water of a specific gravity of 1.025 (corresponding to average density of sea water) at the draft corresponding to the assigned summer freeboard and the light displacement (lightweight) of the ship.
Actually, according to World Bank, the latest figure is 21st June 2020. The unemployment rate according to the World Bank is 7.2 %.Hahahaha, wacha ubishi wa kitoto, lete source yoyote ya kuaminika inayosema unemployment rate Kenya ni chini ya 30%, lete data za IMF, WB au ILO tuone
Yes wanapata figures kutoka GoK ila wao wanafanya verification, hii maana yake ni kwamba, Data ya WB, IMF, na ILO imekubalika na serikali pia, ila ya serikali pekee bado haijafanyiwa verification na International bodies. If I may ask where do WB and IMF get their figures if not from KNBS? And then the latest update from WB I think is 2015 if I`m not wrong.
