Grand Mufti of Oman had launched a campaign, BJP removed the spokespersons, know who is Hamad Al Khalili​

Muscat: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suspended spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Delhi BJP leader Naveen Kumar Jindal from the primary membership of the party.

Action has been taken for allegedly making controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad. But the connection of BJP taking action on its two spokespersons seems to be linked to Arab countries.

After Nupur Sharma’s remark, a trend started against BJP in Arab countries and a campaign was also launched against the boycott of Indian goods. There is a Maulana behind starting this campaign. It is believed that for this reason BJP had to remove two of its spokespersons.

Oman’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili tweeted against the BJP. He said that the official spokesperson of the ruling party in India has made insolent and obscene remarks against the messenger of Islam. The Grand Mufti said that this is a matter against which all Muslims should rise as a nation. After the statement of Al Khalili, there was opposition from India in Arab countries, about which BJP gave its clarification.

BJP had given clarification
In a statement issued by the BJP on Sunday, it was said that the party is not against any religion. “In the history of thousands of years, many religions have flourished in India,” the statement said. BJP respects all religions. BJP strongly condemns the insult of any religion.

On the 75th year of independence, we are engaged in making India a great country, where every person can live with dignity. The BJP said in a statement that it does not support any such ideology. The Indian Embassy in Oman also retweeted this statement.

Taliban support Al Khalili
The Grand Mufti of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, keeps his opinion on many Islamic issues. He has also expressed his opinion about the burning of the Quran in Sweden and the Taliban. Regarding burning the Quran, he had said that by burning the Quran, only the letters of the book will end but its truth will not end.

At the same time, congratulating the Taliban on taking over the rule of Afghanistan, they called it a victory. In his statement, he said, ‘We congratulate the Muslim brotherhood of Afghanistan for a clear victory and a resounding victory for the invading invaders.’


Oman’s Grand Mufti Ahmed Al Khalili is 79 years old. He regularly answers questions related to Islam on TV. He has also demanded from the government to ban alcohol in Oman.

However, the Grand Mufti is considered a strong supporter of religious tolerance. Apart from this, the Grand Mufti has also received Pakistan’s highest civilian award, Nishan-e-Pakistan. Apart from this, Nishan-e-Imtiaz has also been given to him.
