Focusing on the safety of citizens is okay, but do you think the focus technique you decided to use (I do not mean to allow Tanzanians to enter Kenya) locking people down at night and during the day you let them intermingle has helped reduce the risk of infection?
You have agreed to fall into the trap of politically bankrupt politicians and are now seeking the sympathy of the people to support them? I thought we as neighbours/great thinkers (no matter which side of these countries we come from) would look at this matter with a more serious eye and find the right way to advise our governments in order to help these poor countries (although we boast here that we are middle-income countries!)
Please, let us not celebrate the tyranny of the leaders who want to bring us back to the countries of the lower economy while they and their families live and enjoy a rich and comfortable life...
You're just being emotional instead of applying logic and thinking through it, you're one of the few Tanzanians in JF whom I have respect for due to your way of reasoning which is always devoid of pettiness. I think I've made my case and explained my points concisely, this is not competition but everything to do with our safety as a nation.
Since the onset of this pandemic, our president has been making decisions based purely on scientific advice and counsel he gets from various respected and celebrated experts, who are derived from multiple and different fields and institutions.
They usually present to him very well thought-out and written analysis and recommendations each with all sort of scientific algorithms.
Your country is the only nation in the WORLD that has chosen to claim to be free from the pandemic without any testings, no data....just mere political statements..... and "unsurprisingly", all Tanzanian "experts" have swallowed this approach hook, line and sinker and are expending lots of energy to support it, reason has been thrown out the window.
We are not the only nation that has blocked your airline from landing into our airports, it's the same case everywhere, no one is willing to take the risk of allowing you people entrance into their countries without caution. But, it's always a known fact you always tolerate actions by others but are never able to bear the same if coming from us, you'll form in the mouth and go berserk as if we declared war on you.
Our government is releasing statistics daily without hiding anything, we have lost prominent people including celebrities, corona is so real to us, and Kenyans are usually enlightened, we would go crazy if the government chose to behave like yours, we must be informed as frequently as possible and are in support of all tough decisions being made.
