Si zaidi ya wiki mbili zilizopita, mawaziri wa uchukuzi wa Kenya na Tanzania walifikia makubaliano ya kuheshimu "Certificates" zinazotolewa na nchi hizi mbili ili kuruhusu madereva kuingia katika nchi husika, Kenya walikataa kutekeleza maelekezo ya viongozi wao wakuu na kukataa kuyaheshimu makubaliano hayo jambo lililosababusha Tanzania kufunga mpaka wake na Kenya hadi sasa.
Tabia hii ya Kenya ya kutoheshimu makubaliano ni dalili ya wazi ya udhahifu wa Serikali ya Kenya kushindwa kusimamia maazimio na maamuzi ya viongozi wao.
Baada ya miaka mingi ya mauaji na vita kati ya jamii zinazoishi mipakani mwa Kenya na Uganda, rais M7 na Uhuru walitia saini makubaliano ya kusimamisha uhasama na kukubaliana kwamba kila nchi iwapokonye silaha wananchi wao wanaohishi mipakani, Uganda ilifanikiwa kuwanyang'anya lakini Kenya kama kawaida ilishindwa kufanya hivyo, hatimaye wamevuka mpaka na kushambulia kambi ya UPDF na kuua mwanajeshi mmoja. Hiyo ndio Kenya tunayoijua.

Diplomatic ties between Nairobi and Kampala could be at stake after herders from Kenya entered into Uganda at night and raided a military camp.
The armed herdsmen from the Turkana community crossed into Uganda and attacked a Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) camp in the northern part of the country.
The Thursday night retaliatory attack left one UPDF soldier and three herders dead.
According to Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, the members of his community crossed over to Uganda to take back their herd of cattle that was stolen last week from Olpoit village in Turkana West.
While condemning the act, Nanok said the herders attacked the military camp to drive back the over 300 cows which had been detained at the security facility.
The county boss termed the attack as a serious issue that was likely to jeopardize the strong ties between Kenya and Uganda.
"We strongly condemn the act of attacking Uganda army. Attacking a military camp is akin to attacking a state house where president resides. It is a very serious issue," Nanok said.
Speaking to Citizen TV on Saturday, he regretted the raid could cause bad blood between Turkanas and the Karamojong community in Uganda, after co-existing peacefully for some years.
"About 5 or 6 years ago we entered into a peace agreement with Karamojongs and we have been living as good neighbours. Even when we had drought we took our cows to Karamajongs and they stayed there for a long time," the Governor recalled.
"Right now we don't know what President Uhuru Kenyatta will talk about with Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni after a few people attacked his army," Nanok added.
During Uhuru's 2013 swearing in, Museveni reported that Pokot pastoralists from Kenya were crossing into Uganda and stealing cattle.

In 2019, Museveni and Uhuru signed a peace pact aimed at ending cross-border conflicts along the border of Kenya and Uganda.
The historic signing was meant to end cross border conflict between Turkana, pokot and Karamojong communities.
