Jamiiforums has now become a forums for languages that perpetuate Racism and Dehumanization of Tanzanians and its society.
What is Racism?
According various sources, racism is the belief that race is a fundamental ddeterminant oh human traits and capacities and that racial difference produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. It also includes behaviors or attiitudes that reflect and foster this belief, leading to discrimination or prejudice based on race.
This Thread Subject is a fair example of Prejudice based on race.
Using language that dehumanises or demeans Tanzanian people, suchbas calling them "Animals", can indeed be considered racist, especially if it is based on racial or ethnic Stereotypes. Such language is harmful.
Does
JamiiForums perpetuate harmful stereotyoes that contribute to hate, shame and dehumanisation of the Tanzanian people?
The Answer is a Big YES. Why?
Simply because of the failure of its Excutive and Moderators and to moderate instinctively and professionally.
This Thread and its subject is one of the many evidences.
However, I believe that the executives and moderators effectively manage certain issues instinctively and professionaly right, however this is not one of them.
