We gonna no longer sell maize to Kenya! 😒😡

It's about our pace and implementation of our industrialisation policy, we have to encourage processing industries as long as we meet standards for Kenyan markets then why not?

These lamentings here are from jobless Kenyans who always complain about higher flour prices in closed doors, the others are cartels monopolised the business and dictate the price as they want,

unlike Tanzania, Kenya the whole flour business is owned by the small group of people, while Tanzania everyone is processing his flour in his own way.

Fact..hajui wakenya wana mashamba tanzania
Ata hizi vitunguu, machungwa hutoka tz ni rich Kenyans wamekomboa mashamba tz huleta back home,,,,hakuna kitu waTZ huleta Kenya...
Wengine wamekomboa hadi DRC

Kumbuka kwamba pakitokea vita ya biashara, always you are the one who suffer most, jaribuni kukataa unga wetu muone kitakachotokea, Hukumbuki issue ya Jaguar ilivyomlazimisha Uhuru kwenda Chato bila kupenda?. Tanzania is the one which decides, not You.

Tutolee story za vijiweni hapa..mkm umeshindwa kuleta mkataba...kaa kimya tu
Hamna akili ninyi ndio sababu mnakufa njaa kila mwaka, soma definition ya agreement kabwa hamjauliza. Msijaribu kubishana na akili kubwa.

Kitu ambacho ungesema ni kwamba msage unga wenu na ubora unaohitajika na mfanye export jinsi makampuni yetu yafanyavyo then consumers wetu watanunua Kwa shelves za supermarket zetu kulingana na ubora na bei halafu na mbinu utakayotumia kufanya packaging matters a lot,as for me natumia well established brands , and my favourite ni pembe , hostess and jogoo hata mkileta huo unga wenu Kwa meza yangu hautawekwa.
This is none of our business

Because of irrational and emmotional decisions resulted into paying them a dear amount of money as compensation.

Maamuzi mengine yanahitaji busara kuliko jazba na ubabe.

Nothing to be shameful about.
Other countries also buy our food.
Even the US and China import food products.
As a matter of fact, Kenya's agricultural exports are more than Tanzania's agricultural exports. Without minerals, Tanzania exports next to nothing.
While Kenya exports are almost purely agricultural.

But you are starving. You export while you have nothing to eat.

They r Tanzanians by birth n heritage. U speak As if Pembe flour milling is owned by Kenyans!

As a Kenyan its shameful when we have to buy food from other countries we need to be more self reliant and independant. We need to do better and be better as a people.

Am optimistic that we will eventually get our act together.

And this goes to both Kenyans [emoji1139] And Tanzanians [emoji1241]

Acha ujinga wewe.... Tulia tuwauzie chakula

To whatever form a farmer needs to sell his/her crops let him/her do, kazi ya serikali ni kuchukua mapato tu na kuandaa mazingira mazuri ya wakulima kuuza mazao yao popote.

Sasa hili unalipinga na kunitus i!?!🤔

But you are starving. You export while you have nothing to eat.

Keep feeding on your own propaganda. You'll get tired.
Kenyans consume more food than Tanzanian. All kind of foods.
From meat to eggs to poultry. And FAO has all the data.

Good move as u make it hard for our processed merchandise find its ways in ur shelves! I admire this man Magufuli! Though Uhuru's trip to Chato sought to soften the trade barriers, the realities on the ground r different.

This issue of refusing to let in superior quality n affordable flour from Tanzania reaching ur market will open up a can of worms of protectionism.

The good thing is Zimbabwe, Malawi n Zambia have all expressed willingness to buy our grain stocks so we can dictate terms with Kenya n if objected afford to ignore that market.

We have previously sourced maize from as far as Mexico and Brazil very cheaply.
Despite the thousands of miles journey, Tanzania can never compete with Brazil on price.
We only offered to buy from you as a good neighbor.

You can sell to whomever you want. Kenya does not care.
But if you're not going to sell us maize, don't think we'll buy your flour.

Flour we grind our own to keep prices low. Because that's what majority of Western Kenya eats.

Unga price has never been in low in Kenya even after u had all along milled! Reason being carteling supported by protectionism! If at all u r free market u should allow our flour find its ways to ur shelves n see the difference! U r a small boy ur top guys r already in Dar negotiating!
