Kwenye website ya IMF Tanzania Jana imeupdate taarifa yake lakini inaonekana kama imepikwa kwa sababu hakuna serikali imefanya kwenye kuhakikisha uchumi hautetereki hasa kwenye SME.

Background. Tanzania has reported 480 positive cases, and 16 deaths of COVID-19 as of May 7, 2020. The government has adopted limited containment measures, including banning all public gatherings (except for worship), closing bars and restaurants, and mandating wearing face masks in Dar Es Salaam. Schools, colleges, and other training institutions have been closed and boarding students were required to return home. All international flights have been cancelled, but land borders remain open with active health screening at all points of entry. Government operations continue as normal, while some private enterprises have closed or adopted measures to fight the spread of the virus. The authorities are assessing the economic impact of COVID-19 and policy responses.

  • The government released US$302 million for health spending. The funds come from cancelling and postponing some budgeted spending such as foreign travel and training; national ceremonies; and procurement of vehicles.

    The government has granted VAT and customs exemptions to additional medical items requested by the Ministry of Health.

2. Unajua $302 million ni sawa na Tshs ngapi? Kama hujui, basi hizo dola ni almost Tshs. Bilioni 695...!!

3. Sasa hebu tuambie hizo zimetolewa lini na wapi? Ni bunge gani liliidhinisha fedha hizo? Je, huo si upishi wa takwimu fake na uongo?? Wizara yenyewe tu kwa bajeti yake ya mwaka wa fedha 2020/2021 both current & development expenditures ni less than Tshs. 300bn....!!

4. Je, ni kweli pia serikali imetoa $376 million kuipiga jeki private sector kwenye maeneo ya VAT and custom exemptions hususani kwenye taasisi za kiafya zinazoagiza medical items? Lini hili limefanyika na wapi? Mbona hospitali za umma na za binafsi hali ni tete kupita kiasi to the extent that hata masks tu za mahudumu wetu wa afya ni shida kuonekana achilia mbali kupatikana??

5. Kama ndivyo, serikali inapoomba michango kwa wananchi hao hao wanyonge na masikini wanaohitaji attention ya kuhudumiwa na serikali inakuwa inaleta maana na taswira gani eti?

Kwa kuwa wewe ni mtetezi wa serikali hii ya ajabu, basi kila MTU alidhani kuwa ungejikita kufafanua na kutoa ushahidi wa hoja hizi ambazo kiuhalisia SI ZA KWELI kwa asilimia kubwa tu...
