Ni kweli kila jamii ina maeneo yake ya asili lakini je dar es salaam ni asili ya (wazaramo au makabila mengine) au asili ya islamic?

Pili, uwepo wa jamii husika na mila zilizopo kunazuia nini watu wengine kufanya mambo yao?

Tatu je, kama hilo eneo ni la islamic kama unavyo zungumza hao wateja wa hiyo bidhaa iliyo haramishwa na waislamu wanatoka wapi?

Nne, sote tunajua kama tuko chini ya katiba na hakuna mila au tamaduni yoyot ile inayo takiwa kuwa juu ya katiba, hivyo naomba unisaidie hiyo sheria inayo simama na hiyo kauli yako ya kutengewa maeneo.

After Egypt’s revolution in 2011, the first elections installed Mohamed Morsi - a member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), who won the elections through his Freedom and Justice party - as president. The coup that ended his tenure on 14 August 2013 was followed by a deadly uprising of MB supporters known as the Rabaa Massacre. The uprising killed hundreds. Nine years later, some members and affiliates who survived the massacre believe the Muslim Brotherhood is no longer relevant. Is this true?
It is 15 August 2013, a day after the deadly dispersal of the Rabaa Adwayia Islamist sit-in in Cairo, and the military have sacked Morsi. Two Islamist men in their 30s, Abdallah and his friend Galal, among dozens of others, had taken the fight to the streets against thousands of police and military forces. Right outside Cairo’s historic train station, near al-Fatah mosque, both took cover from the live rounds fired at different groups of protesters and some masked militants armed with shotguns.
The two, believing in the cause of ‘revolting to save Islam and restore the presidency of former President Mohamed Morsi’, repeated the Shehada – a statement of faith in Islam – knowing the end might be near, Abdallah tells The Africa Report.

The Brotherhood as a social power​

From the 1970s, the Brotherhood was given room to influence public life. As part of a deal with Anwar al-Sadat’s administration, syndicates, universities, mosques, ministries, schools and businesses were taken over by the Brotherhood, to give them the means to counter the leftist/Marxist control of public space.
In the years before Mubarak, the political and the social sphere were unseparated… the Brotherhood worked on a bottom-up structure, by gaining the respect and trust of the masses throughout the years…
In addition, they were able to establish charity organisations, hospitals, and educational centres, offering themselves as an alternative amid the state’s withdrawal from its public welfare, such as schooling, social solidarity, and hospitalisation. Mosques affiliated with the group organised back-to-school packages to impoverished families, while Islamic hospitals provided cheap treatment and medicine to citizens who could not afford private hospitals or had to pay bribes to enter government hospitals.
Such circles granted the Brotherhood a diverse and loyal political capital of thousands who may not have agreed with the group’s political opinions. However, the brothers depicted themselves as men of honour, men of God, or men who did good deeds.

Indeed in 2011, the Brotherhood gained what it had been sowing since the 1970s. In a matter of three months, the group had become the most organised, prepared, and unified political group boosted by the support of millions across the country who had come to depend on their philanthropic activities.

Crash and burn​

After Morsi was ousted in 2013, and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi assumed power, the MB was once again banned and deemed a terrorist group.

Naamini si wengi wanamfahamu Hassan Chikusa na yote yaliyomsibu katika maisha yake.

Mimi nilimjua Hassan Chikusa kwa kuwa alikua jirani yangu akiishi kwa ndugu yake Masaki jirani na nyumba niliyokuwa naishi mimi na familia yangu.

Wakati ule alikuwa kijana mdogo ndiyo kwanza amemaliza masomo yake na anafanya kazi Makao Makuu National Bank of Commerce (NBC), Sokoine Drive.

Tulizoeana sana na wakati mwingine akija nyumbani kwa mazungumzo na akipenda mazungumzo yangu katika vitabu, historia na muziki kama ilivyo kawaida ya vijana.

Hassan alikuwa akiweka shajara yaani akiandika, ''diary.''

Hassan alikuwa kijana akiipenda dini yake sana kwa mapenzi makubwa.
Mwaka wa 1993 pakawa na sakata la uvunjaji mabucha ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe Wilaya ya Kinondoni baada ya sala ya Ijumaa.

Kilichotokea ni kuwa kijana alitumwa nyama na muuza nyama pengine kwa kutokujua akamuuzia huyu kijana nyama ya nguruwe.

Palikuwa na malalamiko kuhusu haya mabucha ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe lakini walioshika madaraka hawakujali wala kutia maanani malalamiko ya Waislam.

Mjini Dar es Salaam kulikuwa na mabucha 29 ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe kwenye sehemu wanazoishi Waislam na hii ilikuwa kinyume cha sheria.

Tatizo hili Waislam wakalifikisha kwa Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, Mustafa Nyang;anyi lakini hakuna kilichofanyika na likafikishwa pia kwa Waziri Mkuu, John Samuel Malacela.

Waswahili wanamsemo wanasema yale yalikuwa sawa na kutwanga maji katika kinu.

Hili tatizo la mabucha likashushwa chini hadi kwa Mkuu wa Wilaya, Wilson Mkama na yeye akawaita ofisini kwake maimamu wa misikiti mitano ya Wilaya ya Kinondoni kwa mazungumzo.

Serikali haikuwa tayari kufunga mabucha hayo kwa kile walichokiona ni shinikizo kutoka kwa Waislam wenye, ''siasa kali.''

Bwana Mkama akawaeleza maimam kuwa hayo mabucha yapo kihalali na wana leseni walizopewa na serikali kufanya biashara hiyo kwa ajili hii serikali ina dhima ya kuzilinda hizo bucha.

Mkutano ukamalizika na maimamu wakarejea misikitini kwao kuwaeleza Waislam kauli ya serikali kuhusu mabucha ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe.

Waingereza wana msemo, ''The straw which broke the camel's back,'' yaani ujani uliowekwa juu ya mgongo wa ngamia ukauvunja.

Waislam walighadhibika sana kwa uamuzi wa serikali kuwapuuza.
Siku ya pili ilikuwa Ijumaa Kuu.

Baada ya sala ya Ijumaa vijana wa Kiislam walipomaliza sala waliziendea zile bucha zilizokuwa Wilaya ya Kinondoni wakazivunja zote kwa mpigo.

Dar es Salaam ilizizima.
Haya hayakupata kutokea katika kipindi chote cha uhuru.

Rais Ali Hassan Mwinyi akiwa Zanzibar akasema katika kulani kuvunjwa mabucha ya nguruwe kuwa nguvu za dola ziwaangukie wale waliovunja mabucha ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe.

Jioni yake BBC hwakuchelewa wakafanya mahojiano na Waziri Mkuu John Samuel Malecela.

Malecela akasema kuwa waliovunja mabucha ya kuuza nyama ya nguruwe ni wahuni wanotaka kuchukua serikali kupitia dini.

Waziri wa Mambo ya Ndani na Naibu Waziri Mkuu Augustine Mrema yeye akasema mabucha yamevunjwa kutokana na nguvu kutoka nchi ya Kiislam ili kuivuruga Tanzania.

Katibu Mkuu wa CCM Horace Kolimba yeye akahitimisha kwa kusema kuwa waliovunja mabucha si Waislam ila ni wahuni wanaotaka kupindua serikali.

Kufika asubuhi siku ya Jumamosi masheikh 40 wakawa wamekamatwa usiku wa manane kwa taadhira kubwa majumbani kwao mfano wa majambazi na kutiwa korokoroni.

Wahariri wa magazeti asubuhi yake siku ya Jumamosi wakawa katika burdani kubwa ya kuandika kuvunjwa kwa mabucha ya kuuza nguruwe na kukamatwa kwa masheikh.

Asubuhi ile ya Jumamosi kundi dogo la Waislam wakaenda Kituo Cha Kati cha Polisi kufuatilia masheikh waliokamatwa usiku na kuwekwa korokoroni hapo.
Hawa nao wakakamatwa na kuwekwa ndani.

Haukupita muda baada ya habari kuenea kuwa Waislam waliokwenda kuwauliza masheikh na wao wamekamatwa Waislam wakaja kwa wingi kituoni siku ya pili yake Jumapili iliyokuwa Easter Sunday.

Siku hiyo Waislam wakakusanyika pale kituoni ikawa kama vile kituo kimezingirwa na sala ya L'Asr ilipoingia ikapigwa adhana pale nje ya ya kituo watu wakasali barabarani.

Polisi wakataka kuwapiga mabomu ya machozi lakini pakawa na kutokubaliana baina ya askari wenyewe.

Hawakupendezewa na kitendo kile.

Askari Waislam wakawaambia wenzao hilo haliwezi kufanyika kuwapiga mabomu Waislam wanaosali kwani ni kufuru kubwa Waislam hawajafanya fujo wamekuja kituoni kufuatilia masheikh wao walioko korokoroni.

Jua lilipotua Waislam wakaondoka pale kituoni wakaamua wakutane siku ya pili Msikiti wa Mtoro washauriane.

Siku hii ya Jumapili yaani Easter Sunday mimi ndiyo niliingia Dar es Salaam nikitokea Le Havre, Ufaransa nikaja Paris kwa muda wa siku mbili kisha nikaenda London kisha Cardiff na kurejea London kupanda ndege kurudi Dar es Salaam.

Nilipofika nyumbani ndipo nilipopata taarifa ya masheikh kukamatwa na kati ya masheikh hao alikuwa mjomba wangu Sheikh Pazi wa Manzese.

Sikusubiri nikaenda kwa Hassan Chikusa wakati huo akiishi Mwananyamala kwani nilijua pamoja na kupita kwa jamaa wengine yeye ndiye ataweza kunipa taarifa ya mkasa mzima pamoja na tathmini.

Hayo niliyoandika hapo juu ni baadhi ya mambo aliyonifahamisha kuwa yametokea kuanzia siku ile ya Ijumaa yalipovunjwa mabucha hadi siku ya pii yake Jumamosi.

Hili ninalosema sasa ni jambo ambalo kwa miaka yote kila nilipokutana na Hassan moyo uliniuma sana nikiishia kumuombea dua.

Hassan siku ile nilipokwenda kwake ilikuwa Jumapili usiku na hakuwa na taarifa kuwa siku ya Jumatatu, yaani Easter Monday Waislam wameamua kufanya shura ndani ya Msikiti wa Mtoro ambao Imam Mkuu, Sheikh Kassim Juma alikuwa kakamatwa Arusha akielekea Nairobi kwenye matibabu na kurudishwa Dar es Salaam na yuko rumande.

Mimi ndiye nliyemfahamisha kuwa kesho Easter Monday kuna shura ya Waislam wote wa Dar es Salaam kujadili kwa pamoja nini kifanyike kurejesha heshima ya masheikh wetu.

Kwa ufupi siku ile ndani ya Msikti wa Sheikh Mtoro Mwinyi Mangara iliamriwa baada ya mjadala mkali sana Waislam watoke kwa maandamano hadi Kituo Cha Kati Cha Polisi kwenda kuwatoa masheikh wao korokoroni.

Katika maandamano yale Waislam walipambana na polisi na mabomu ya machozi yalipigwa.

Mapambano haya yalifanyika kati ya kituo cha polisi na Clock Tower.
Haya ndiyo yalikuwa maandamano ya kwanza ya Waislam Tanzania Bara.

Zanzibar maandamano yao yalikuwa mwaka wa 1988.
Maandamano haya yote tatizo ni Uislam.

Hassan Chikusa akakamatwa pamoja na vijana wengi wa Kiislam.
Wakawekwa rumande wakashtakiwa na kuhukumiwa vifungo jela.

Hassan Chikusa akapoteza kazi yake NBC.

Huyu ndiye Hassan Chikusa msomi mkimya ambae baada ya kutoka jela akiwa hana kazi masahibu mengi ya maisha yalimfika.

Lakini siku zote akisema yaliyomfika ni madogo sana na yote ameyakadiria Allah na na yeye bado yu hai.

Kwangu mimi maadamano yale na wale walioshiriki katika yale maandamano kile kilikuwa kipimo.

Tunamuomba Allah amsamehe makosa yake mja wake huyu na amtie Firdaws.

Ungemuajiri wewe Mzee Muddy baada ya kufukuzwa kazi awe anafuta mavumbi kabrasha zako huku mkiswali swala tano pamoja kila siku ili mradi familia yake ile angalau mlo mmoja kwa siku. Umeuliza swali kistaarabu nitakupa jibu.

Katika ''paper'' niliyoandika na kuwasilisha Kenyatta University, Nairobi mwaka wa 2006 ukiisoma utakuta lawama zangu kwa Rais Mwinyi.

Bahati mbaya nimeandika Kiingereza:

''President Mwinyi who was in Zanzibar on official engagement unwisely and driven by the fear that the country was moving towards the dreaded clash between Muslims and Christians, issued a hurried condemnation of the attack and ordered that all those responsible for the attack should be made to feel the full weight of state power.

By that statement a simple case of few frustrated young Muslims hotheads driven to action by insensitivity of the government to genuine grievances, was blown out of proportion into a national crisis.

The government and party media including the state radio warned of the dangers of ‘Muslim fundamentalists in Tanzania.’

The Christian lobby saw in Mwinyi's statement a blank cheque to crash all Muslims it considered dangerous to their interests.''

Intellect zetu zimepishana sana.

Nasoma na naona tofauti kubwa katika uelewa wa tatizo lililopo nchini.

Hapa naona mathalan unavyo jaribu kunitisha kwa vipigo na vifungo.

Nilifanya mhadhara kama huu University of Iowa na hadhira ile ilijitahidi sana kueleza hali ya Tanzania kwa kutumia takwimu na mifano mingine.

Hadi namaliza mhadhara nilikuwa naongoza kwa kutoa "facts" na rejea.

Nini kilitokea?

Mkuu wa Idara ya African History Northwestern University Prof. Jonathan Glassman alinialika chuoni kwake nikazungumze.

Baada ya mhadhara Northwestern University Prof. Glassman alinishukuru kwa kuwapa elimu ambayo hawakuwanayo.

Tuna safari ndefu sana.
Mzee wetu ungeandika bila kuleta udini wako tungekuheshimu mno. Wewe mwenyewe ndo unalazimisha tukudharau. Kiukweli heshima yako hapa JF imeshuka mno.
