Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

now show me the 6000 km being constructed!

as for me i gave links yesterday! And why r u showing only Ketraco where is Kenpower u yapped has transmission lines?
I do not need to show you 6000 km worth of projects, Those are things for the future, I will not deal with things I cannot control.. That will be like a few years ago when we spent hours discussing Lamu Port VS Bagamoyo port 😇😇 , Or when we discussed Rufiji VS Kimworor Dam, It doesn't matter what we talk about until it actually happens. All that matters is that we have over 6,200 KM of transmission network that exist as of Jan 2020.

And as for KPLC, I don't need to dig through their reports, KENTRACO have already confirmed that they own 37.5% (2,364KM) of the total (6,294KM) Transmission network that exists in Kenya. Yani in other words, Kentraco's 2,364KM of transmission line is not 100% of the transmission network in Kenya. It's only 37.5% of the total Transmission network!!!

ati Kunyaland ina reliable power kutushinda?

Kenya has done a lot of upgrades since 2003 After Kibaki took over my friend... Who has more reliable power grid here???

Ni kama Mkunya adai ati Kunyaland ina better water supply than Tanzania! !

Hapo panasema "TANESCO owns interconnection power grid made up of generation system transmission and distribution system. Transmission system comprises of fifty-seven (57) Substations interconnected by transmission lines. Transmission lines network comprises of 3010.7 km of 220 kV, 1672.57 km of 132 kV, 543 km of 66kV and 670 km 400kV totalling 5896.27 km by the end of December 2019."
------------------------------------------------

Hapo ondoa hio 543Km of 66KV kwenye hesabu za Transmission lines, 66kV and below should be considered part of the distribution network. 132kV and above is what is considered a true transmission line

So Tanzania has 5,353 Km of transmission lines as of Dec 2019.

KPLC still owns a majority of the transmission lines above 132kV , Kentracos network is only 37.5% of all the National Transmission lines, but this wont last long, KENTRACO has 23 active projects U/C

When those projects are complete, The will add 6,679 KM of Transmission lines in Kenya, So its only Tz that has future plans, you are not about to catch up anytime soon, you make 3 steps and before you take anotherone Kenya is 7 steps ahead of you!!!

Ongoing projects!

Thank you so much for this beautiful and informative post. By the way I have been following very closely the construction of Ol-Karia Lessos 300 KM transmission line that is now complete and undergoing energization procedures ready for commisioning. This line will distribute Stable Ol Karia power to western Kenya. Western Kenya is a major population centre in Kenya with areas like Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega having very high population densities per square kilometre. So I am sure the demand for stable electricity there is high. There is also the Kenya-Ethiopia line that is also complete and undergoing energization procedures. The Kenyan side of the line is 600 km long. So these two lines that are currently being energized are 300+600 = 900 km long.

Umeshampiga Geza Ulole mangumi za Mike Tyson kwenye mjadala wa transmission lines sasa ameamua kubadilisha mjadala ili kupata nafuu ya kupumua. Anatafuta pa kutokea.

These are maintanace schedules, wewe mzee utakuwa mjinga hadi lini?
Hahaha. Anajifanya as if hao they don't maintain their powerlines. Geza Ulole hata gari ya range rover lazima iende ifanyiwe service once in a while. Hata ndege lazima ifanyiwe service.

Unajivunjia heshima bana

pole, huyu mshikaji ana-bore hajui kitu kuhusu mining ila kelele nyingi utafikiria kuchimba visima vya geothermal ni kitu kigumu sanaa!

From this Ketraco, kengen, Gdc, REA,KPLC,kenya nuclear electricity board, lake turkana wind power conversation, i have a ask? with Tanzania having frequent power cuts, lower % in connectivity than kenya, lower energy production, you would want to mean they are better than us in the energy sector?
