Amidst a growing global awareness of the problem of the worlds covert religious cults, mainstream Anglican, Catholic and Presbyterian churches in Africa have joined with leaders of Kenya's Mungiki youth movement in calling for the abolition of the Freemasons. The Parish Pastor of Nairobi's St Andrew's Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), one of the oldest traditional churches in Kenya, said recently that Freemasonry needs to be abolished, citing, "It has no moral standing in the wider community," he said.
The Mungiki movement with some 4 million followers, has accused the Freemasons of involvement in the disappearance of children and a mysterious string of murders that have recently rocked Nairobi.

The pronouncement came after a consortium of churches, during an interdenominational conference, called for the total ban on Freemasonry in Kenya. The Nanyuki conference, attended by officials of the National Council of Churches, Evangelical Fellowship of Kenya, the Catholic Church and representatives of the Independent Churches of Kenya, lashed out at the Freemason society, accusing it of "engaging in undercurrent activities." The churches pointed out that Freemasonry is a secretive society whose activities may not be good to the welfare of the human society. ​

On 3 September, Rev. Samuel Muli of the Church of Christ led a group of demonstrators in the city as part of the ongoing campaigns to outlaw the Freemansonry in the East African country. Accusing the organisation of clandestine operations, Muli who is also the director of Evangelism Association - a consortium of evangelical revival churches, said Freemasonry is a threat to the human race and thus the need to have it abolished.
It's no wonder there's a growing backlash against the covert western based quasi religious, quasi military cults - many Africans believe the recent the Paradise Hotel bombing, was in fact perpetrated by another quasi religious, quasi military group - the CIA (with Mossad assistance.)
And so the secret societies, such as the Jesuits, the Freemasons and the Knights of Malta, which represent the west, continue to rampage around the world causing enumerable blunders, screw-ups and miscalculations - all in the name of each and every citizen in the west - and it will be the ordinary citizen who will pay the price for the mischief of our secret cults.

Andy Chande: EA Freemasons Grand Master speaks of his life history

FREEMASONS will tomorrow celebrate 100 years of their socio-ethical activities in East Africä. The celebrations will take place in Dar es Salaam and President Benjamin William Mkapa will be the guest of honour. In this interview with correspondent Ernest C. Ambali, the District Grand Master of Freemasonry in East Africa, Sir Jayantilal Chande, on whom Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth conferred a Knighthood, gives his brief history.

QUESTION: For how long have you been active in the social and business life that ties up with Freemasonry activities in East Africa?
ANSWER: I was born in Mombasa, Kenya in 1929, and have been active in social and business life for over half-a- century.

Q: What were the activities in which you were involved?
A: I served, as a member of the National Assembly and of the Executive Counçil from March 1958 to December 196l when I was offered by the Tanganyika African National
Union, TANU, an electoral constituency as the Party desired my constituency as the party my continued involvement in the national affairs.As I was required to return to the family business following my father's death, I declined offer.

Q: Have you ever taken up other offers in the public and private sectors?
A: I have served either as Chairman or as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of private and public companies and of government and multi-government corporations including the East African Railways Corporatiion.
The others were the East African Harbours Corporation and the East African Cargo Handling Service Limited.
I was founder Chairman of Air Tanzania Corporation, and was once Chairman of the Tanzania Harbours Authority and the Tanzania Tourism Corporation.
Q: Is that all?
A: Forover 25 years l served as Chairman of both the Tanganyika Standard Newspapers Limited (publisher of the Daily News and the Sunday News).
During the same period I also served as Chairman of the National Museums of Tanzania.
In 1964 1 negotiated with the late Dr Louis Leakey who was a good friend, the handing over of the Zinjathropus Boisei, the oldest skull which belonged to the first known groups of near men, to Tanzania. The skull is now housed in the National Museum in Dar es Salaam. I also persuaded Dr Leakey to donate a replica.
Q: What are your present social and business occupations?
A: I am presently the Chairman of the Tanzania Railways Corporation, Barclays Bank Tanzania Limited. Alexander Forbes Tanzania Limited; and of Kioo Limited.
A leader of the Tanganyika Businessmen's delegation to Sir Jeremy Raisman's Fiscal Commission in 1960, I was also a member of the East African Metric Commission. This appointment was made jointly by the Presidents of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. I was also a member of the Bureau of East African Affairs in the Office of the President and also served on the Industries and Mining Committees of the Third and Fourth Five Years Development Plans.
Q: Hav you ever been involved in organisations with external linkages?
A: Yes. I was once advisor to the Ministerial Committee of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) dealing with the Arab League on the oil crisis. I was also the Deputy Leader of the Tanzania delegation to the United Nations Preparatory Committee for the Rio Conference on Environment and Development.
I was also elected to serve as the co-ordinator between the countries of the G77 and the G7 on the Fiscal Environmental Facility. I was a member of Tanzania.
Q: Your vast experience in many local and international activities must have attracted interest of other organisations, which are these?
A: I was at one time President of the Association of the Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Eastern Africa and of the Tanganyika Association of Chambers of Commerce.
I am also former member of the Council of the Federation of Commonwealth chambers of Commerce, London and of Commonwealth Producers' Organisation.
As a fellow of International Academy of Management and of the Chartered Management Institute, England, I was awarded an honorary doctorate in Business Administration from the International Management Centre, England.
Q: Your business, commercial and financial acumen must also have attracted intrest of other international bodies ?
A: l am a member of the World Business Academy and the only one fron Africa, Asia and the Middle East, serving on its Board of Directors.
I am a consulting Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation (International Multi – disciplinary Research Group.
I am also a member of the, Conference Board, New York and of the Stanford Research Institute, Menlo Park, California.
I was selected by the Editorial and Advisory Board of the International Biographical Centre, England, as the International man of the Year 1998-99.
