01. ATCL NA HASARA YA BILIONI 60

Ni muhimu sana tuwe tunafuatilia taarifa, wakati ATCL yetu (shirika linalofufuliwa) likitajwa kupata hasara ya shilingi Bilioni 60 kwa mwaka mmoja, na baadhi ya watu kuifanya kuwa ajenda kubwa na jambo la kushangaza sana, nataka mfuatilie pia hasara za baadhi ya mashirika makongwe na makubwa zaidi barani Afrika.
Mathalani, Shirika la Ndege la Kenya (Kenya Airways) limepata hasara ya zaidi ya Shilingi za Kitanzania Bilioni 700 (mara 11 ya hasara ya ATCL) katika kipindi hicho hicho ambacho ATCL imepata hasara ya tzs Bilioni 60.
Na shirika la ndege kongwe zaidi Afrika, Ethiopian Airlines, limepata hasara ya zaidi ya Shilingi za Kitanzania Tzs Trilioni 1.1 (Bilioni 1,100) ambayo ni hasara kubwa mara 18.3 zaidi kuliko ATCL.
Sote hatufurahii hasara hata kama sisi tuna hasara ya Bilioni 60, lakini kwa sababu mbili tu za sasa... uchanga wa ATCL na dunia kuzongwa na KORONA zinaweza kuifanya ATCL ijikongoje, wakati mashirika makubwa kama KE Airlines na ETH Airlines yakizongwa pia na korona.
Pia kwa mwaka jana peke yake, mashirika makubwa zaidi ya ndege duniani, kama – Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Lufthansa Group, United Airlines, Air France-KLM, na IAG yamerekodi hasara kubwa kabisa kihistoria ya zaidi ya Dola za Marekani Bilioni 110 ambayo ni zaidi ya shilingi trilioni 2,500 za Tanzania.
Mwisho wa siku na katikati ya changamoto hizi, tunakubaliana kuwa ATCL inahitaji mikakati na mbinu za hali ya juu kibiashara ili itoke hapo ilipo, ikiwemo kuacha kabisa kufanya kazi kwa mazoea.

- VIRGIN AUSTRALIA files for Bankruptcy!
- THAI AIRWAYS files for bankruptcy.
- AIR MAURITIUS goes into Administration.
- SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS files for Bankruptcy!
- FINNAIR returns 12 planes and lays off 2,400 people!
- YOU grounds 22 planes and fires 4,100 people!
- RYANAIR grounds 113 planes and gets rid of 900 pilots for the moment, 450 more in the coming months!
- NORWEGIAN AIRLINES completely stops its long-haul activity!!!
The 787s are returned to the lessors!
- SAS returns 14 planes and fires 520 pilots.
The SCANDINAVIAN states are studying a plan to liquidate NORWEGIAN AIRLINES and SAS to rebuild a new company from their ashes.
- ETIHAD AIRWAYS cancels 18 orders for A350, grounds 10 A380 and 10 Boeing 787. Lays off 720 staff!
- EMIRATES AIRWAYS grounds 38 A380s and cancels all orders for the Boeing 777x (150 aircraft, the largest order for this type). They "invite" all employees over 56 to retire
- WIZZAIR returns 32 A320s and lays off 1,200 people, including 200 pilots, another wave of 430 layoffs planned in the coming months! Remaining employees will see their wages reduced by 30%!
- IAG (BRITISH AIRWAYS parent company) abandons the takeover of AIR EUROPA (and will pay €40 million compensation for that).
- IAG (IBERIA) grounds 56 planes.
- IAG (BRITISH AIRWAYS) grounds 34 planes. Everyone over 58 to retire!
- LUXAIR reduces its fleet by 50% (and associated redundancies)
- CSA abolishes its long-haul sector and keeps only 5 medium-haul aircraft.
- EUROWINGS goes into Bankruptcy
- BRUSSELS AIRLINE reduces its fleet by 50% (and associated redundancies).
- LUFTHANSA AIRLINES plans to ground 72 aircraft!
(in 2 instalments).
- FIJI AIRWAYS lays off more than 7OO employees, including pilots.
- HOP is studying the possibility of reducing fleet and staff by 50%.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Currently, 60 new aircraft stored at AIRBUS with no buyers in sight (order cancellations) including 18 A350s.
They "forecast a minimum of 8,000 grounded planes by September" that would sadly see "more than 90,000 unemployed pilots Worldwide"
