I expected a little better from someone who wrote for The Economist Intelligence Unit, The Guardian, The London Times, The East African etc.
The book was rushed to the printer without sufficient proofreading and fact checking. That is becoming apparent now.
Had it been once, I would have chalked it up to a typo, the error was made twice in two consecutive page. It seems that Kabendera thinks Sokoine died in 1983 and was going by what he had on his head, and nibody fact checked this.
Where were his proofreaders, fact checkers, editors?
