KCB half-year profit is more than the combined profits of top ten Banks in Tanzania

KCB half-year profit is more than the combined profits of top ten Banks in Tanzania

Sasa tangu lini June kukawa quater of a year? Wewe tafuta mwalimu wa shule ulienda akakurudishia fee juu hakuna ulichotoka nayo huko.
Ndo maana nimesema nyie watu ni vilaza!!

Hizo ni Ripoti 2 tofauti:-

2. For the first six months report kwa upande wa Kenya... kwa maana takwimu zinazoishia June 30!

Lakini kwa upande mwingine, kama hujui ikiwa june kunakuwa na quarter of the year, huko Kenya mngekuwa mnapewa elimu mzuri ungefahamu kwa june inaitwa "second quarter"!

Haya jibu swali ambalo nilikuuliza!

Intro ya The Citizen inasema "Eleven of the 12 most profitable commercial banks in Tanzania reported increased profits in 2019!

Wakati huo huo unaambatanisha na ripoti nyingine inayosema:- "Sustained revenue growth and prudent cost management helped raise KCB Group PLC full year 2018 net profit by 22% to a record Ksh 24 billion."

Again, jibu swali langu manake bado unaendelea kuleta viroja:-

Zote ni full year results ama sio full year results? Mbona unajiaibisha?

In which perspective do you look at the word economy? GDP numbers? Government efficiency in performing its obligation to its citizens? If the former is the case, what about debt to GDP ratio? Can GDP act as a good defn of bigger economy while at the same time the country's debt to GDP ratio rises to red ink?

Don't you believe that GDP is just a number? If u don't just look at the majority citizens style of living and then go through making a comparison between Tz and Kenya.

And if the latter is the case, what about these two countries Govt efficiencies? The one can't even satisfy its citizens with food, so do you still believe that GDP is the good factor to make a comparison? What does it mean?

Btw, you started by rating yourself that you know a little bit of economy so it admits of no doubt that you are somehow a layman of economy.

If you really know economy you wouldn’t dare to argue that way, it’s true there are many factors that can be used to measure economy of a country, can you use them and compare and see which factor is putting Tanzania ahead of Kenya. Food sufficient is not enough there are countries that are importing food and are better economically than those with sufficient food.

To understand that Kenya has big economy than Tanzania ask your self what are the imports from Kenya to Tanzania and vice versa, you will see that Kenya is importing raw materials from Tanzania while Tanzania is importing finished products from Kenya. In this type of trade which country is benefiting more, in short Tanzania is helping Kenya economy to grow faster by adding value to our produce and exporting the finished products back to Tanzania and elsewhere.

If we really want our economy to grow and reach that of our brothers and sisters we should say the truth about the size of our economy and strategize where would we like to be at a given period of time instead of denying the truth that won’t help our economy to grow and reach Kenyan Economy and even grow further.

Huoni utofauti hapo?

Mnajifanya wajuaji wakenya, ndiyo maana corona bado hamjui namna ya kuikabili na mtaenda lockdown mpaka mwakani, ona sasa shule zote zitafungua mwakani, nina mtoto anasoma huko amekaa nyumbani mpaka nashangaa ni taifa gani halina strategies za kukabila majanga poor kenyans
Huyo mtoto wako mbona ulisumbuka kumsajili shule ya Kenya? Huko kwenu hamna mashule?

Why are you comparing apples to oranges?

1. This so called banks profits in kenya are just a symptom of a serious crisis, these banks are the major lenders to GoK. Its a despicable business where they borrow from central bank then lend to Gok. Something that Magufuli himself said is unacceptable, - He would rather let those banks die.And even to a layman, this is pure BS.. Banks exist to lend to people and businesses, not to fleece treasury coffers..though the ever bankrupt Gok is a very willing albeit stupid borrower.

2. Tz economy by GDP PPP is bigger than kenya, income equality is among the best in africa. Wholesale importation of manufactured goods from kenya is at an all time low since Tz is now firing up its industries and eating up kenya market share with its low industrial production costs. Cherry picking small data points to support your predetermined notion is not the practice of economists..You have to look at the whole picture.

3. If there is anything that Tanzania can do now is to obtain Foreign Capital to build infrastructure and lend to local manufacturers, that is the missing link. Tz is now a middle income country and has shown ability to payback huge loans. the only caveat here is not to borrow stupidly with hubris like kenya. Tz GDP is at $60b with 27% Debt to GDP, kenya was at GDP $60b in 2015 and their hubris Debt to GDP was at 40%. Tz has a better growth base and an even better debt ceiling compared to kenya - Thats how you analyse an economy.

Let a sleeping dog lie. If you know you know 😂 😂

You have talked about so much that I would have liked to respond to individually but since that's not possible at the moment, I just want to pick the one that stands out for me.

I know you are a Tanzanian (even though you were so clever in picking your username and avatar to use in this forum) but sometimes blind patriotism is bad. Did you do any research before talking about GDP PPP between these two countries or did patriosm overrun your thinking and analyzing abilities? According to World Bank data, Kenya's GDP PPP was at $1816.5 in 2018. Tanzania's GDP PPP was $1122.1 last year (2019). How then is Tanzania's GDP PPP bigger than Kenya's as you imply above?
GDP per capita (current US$) - Kenya | Data

Don't throw away the voice of reason out of the window just because you've been blinded by patriotism

Vijisababu hamkosangi

You think you are so good at analyzing data? Below are GDP PPP figures from World Bank. Kenya is at $237,073. Tanzania is at 155,993. That's almost double Tanzania's figures. All these are 2019 figures.

Try a different line danganyikan and please, stick to your lane, dickhead.
Adios!

Hahaha.....this topic got y'all bongos feeling sideways, ain't it? Imewasinya sana hadi mnaanza kubadilisha mada. Mara eti corona, mlima kilimanjaro eti GDP, eti raslimali.... wtf is wrong with y'all 🤔🤔🤣🤣
