Utakumbuka ndege ya Kivita F-5 ilipodunguliwa mwaka 2014 ilianguka ndani ya eneo linaloshikiliwa na Alshabab hivyo kushindwa kwenda kupata maiti ya rubani na hata kupata mabaki ya ndege yenyewe.

Kwa taarifa yako Alshabab ni jeshi kamili, linashikilia eneo kubwa tu la Somalia, ila mbinu ya vita wanayotumia ni Gorrila war, wanashambulia kwa kuvizia, na huko wanakoshikilia wanajificha, lakini kuna wakati drones za USA zinagundua maficho na kuwashambulia.

Museveni alishaliona hili mapema kabisa na ndio maana aliibrand KDF kuwa nia "career army". They can not fight Al Shabaab.

The problem with you people is that you think that you are the first ones to come up with critisim about kdf role in somalia .....The government has its own strategy which is informed by expert analysis all this things you are saying here are not new .
 
Before kdf entered somalia Amisom was irrevant .Alshabaab was gaining more ground each day they controlled major towns ports airports and were on the verge of controlling one of the busiest waterway in Africa yet Uganda and Ethiopia were in somalia for almost 6 yrs and had not managed to contain them......most arguments here are uninformed and petty.

Giving numbers for soldiers and civilians are two different matters.
Announcing numbers for soldier deaths in Somalia will only end up strengthening the militia.

Alafu hii yako ya karibu kila siku, the last time there was an attack on soldiers or police in Kenya was August last year.
Najua furaha yako ni uskie kila siku, lakini lo.
It happens once every few months and the casualties are very few.

The thousands of dead Alshabab beg to differ.

Even with the mungiki threat we had like 15 years ago, (and it was more deadly than Al shabab), government returned fire with fire.
Right now, Mungiki does not exist.
Not to say that the government killed all Mungiki members, but when the organization is weakened enough, remaining followers will think twice and drop their arms.

Uganda for all those years had been operating in a six to seven block radius around Mogadishu where alshabaab were not very active. They never dared to operate in the real bush to face the gorillas .Its during this time that alshabaab were gaining strength and even started hijacking ships in the Indian ocean .They controlled almost all trade in somalia .Kdf entry was the ultimate game changer on the whole somalia issue.
