Delta4, with due respect, ungeweza kumuelewesha aliyeuliza kuhusu that large sum of money bila kuegemea ukuta wa TZ/Kenya. Africa nzima including Kenya na Tanzania tuna tatizo la hela nyingi kuwa 'outside the official channel' in the sense that Taxation is out of the equation. Iwe church or whatever fundraising lazima tukubali kuna mambo hatujayafanyia kazi when it comes to handling money.
About speculation za vifo, I guantee you sio tu wa-tz hapa JF wanao-speculate, hii iko Tanzania kama ambavyo iko Kenya. Plus it happens everywhere especially when it is an accident involvig a publc figure. Iko duniani kote, Princess Diana bado watu wana-speculate, JFK etc. Na hata uchunguzi wa polisi ukikamilika bado certain individuals wanaweza kuendelea na speculation. Ndiyo ukweli wa mwanadamu.
FJM - my apologies Kaka. And you are right. But there is a style of debate here that just gets the goat up. While any normal adult and well-balanced person knows there is a season for all things.
In Kenya, there is a huge shock at the death of these two political leaders, and not because of their popularity, tribe nor even achievements. It would seem the Nation is under siege, and there is real possibility of public despondence growing critical mass if we allow it - not because any of the many indicators of National Growth are persistently pessimistic. If our National Leadership does not re-group and show a Unity of National Purpose at this time, public despondency is real possibility - people will start jumping at shadows, and get paranoid around each other. So that we hold on to this public show of shared national grief, of our leadership holding together even if just this once, of our re-focussed attention to our Nationhood and our Patriotism. We can do very well without the sanctimonious expressions made here by some wtz such as Askari Kanzu that lack balance and rationality. That is all really.
Give Kenyans right and space to properly mourn this National Loss, as we shall when you wtz will face your time of national grief (which surely will come some time); and then after that lets return to our usual juvenile sparring in this and other cross-national foras.
Ndo hayo tuu!
