Umetimia mwaka sasa tangu ninunue gari yangu hii ya kwanza. Babywoka safi inanitosha, 1290cc engine 1KR.
Tangu ninunue hii babywoka nilikua sijawahi kukaa na kufanya 'cost-analysis' upande wa mafuta nayotumia.
Zaidi nilikua nahisi kama gari 'inanifilisi' vile navokua natoa 20,000 au 30,000 kwa mkupuo napoingia "sheli".
October 2, 2021 Jmosi saa mbili usiku niliweka mafuta ya 50,000.
Sio kawaida yangu maana hata jamaa wa pale Petrol Station (GUDAL) napo-endaga kuweka alinitania "naona leo umeamua kaka..."
Kabla ya kuweka nilisoma ODOMETER nikaweka record kwenye 'sticky note' ya simu.
Basi nikaendelea na mizunguko yangu weeee... Mwenge, Sinza, Kariakoo mara chache, Mbagala Chamazi, Bunju kidogo, Bahari beach kule nakadhalika.
By the way, kwa sasa nakaa pande za Makongo. Office location ipo pale Shekilango Ubungo Business Park (kule ndan kwenye ma-godown yale). So you can imagine my daily routes.
October 25 2021, Jtatu saa mbili usiku 'gauge' ya mafuta ikarudi ilipokua tarehe 2. Nikachukua kalamu na karatasi.
Katikati hapo nilishaongeza mafuta ya 15,000 halafu 20,000. Sio kwamba yalikua yameisha. Nilipata safari ambazo hazikuwa kwenye 'monitoring process'.
Kwahiyo basi;
Mafuta nilinunua jumla 85,000/=
Bei kwa lita: 2,427/=
Jumla lita: 35 ltrs
No. of days: 23 days
Total distance covered: 344 km
Average Consumption:
Distance covered per litre: 344 km ÷ 35 litres = 9.8km/ltr.
Cost per day: 85,000 ÷ 23 days = 3,700/= per day.
Tuseme roughly kwa siku natumia shilingi 4,000 kama gharama za mafuta (asante babywoka yangu).
Hii ni almost sawa na ningekua natumia bodaboda (kwenda 2,000 kurudi 2,000). Na hapo nime-assume ni strictly route ya maskani-ofisini-maskani.
Kumbe hamna tofauti kiviiile.
Tena naona afadhali kwangu, maana naweza kwenda popote, muda wowote.
Naweza kumpa mtu/watu lift. Sinyeshewi mvua. Sipigwi jua.
Hata demu wangu nahisi nilimpata sababu ya hii babywoka. Japokua amenipiga kibuti.
