Mkuu I am completely against your arguments because the suarez business was a gamble that paid-off handsomely both on the field and commercially. The dude gave us a profit of £50m plus yet you dont appreciate. Though it was a gamble, but it paid in the end? He went on scoring 31 league goals, still you claim is a poor transfer? He had the most assist in EPL, still you dont appreciate it was a risk that paid? Sometimes the means justifies the end. Even if he would have been available in the first six games of the last seasson, we can't surely say we would have grabbed a superior goal difference at the end. Why are you putting a knife to a dude who scored so many times rather than blaming those who leaked the goals? I would say, the fowards did their job (simply scoring) but the defence didn't. If you want to get someone's head on last seasson's poor goal difference, pls get the head of whoever at the backline!

Suarez is no one to blame for the loss we made last year, first of all we did not lose the Premiership not on goal difference. We lost it because we had no depth, players were tired to death especially the last 5 games.

If I single out one game will be the Chelsea game that made us lose the Cup, had we approached that game with a mind of getting a draw which was very enough for us we could probably got a draw, you saw how desperately we were searching for a goal and exposing our defense that led to Ba's easy goal.

Suarez is a no blame man, he is to be credited to reach us number 2 which wasn't even a plan.

But (and it's a very big BUT)............

I think technically you are quite wrong. We need a top striker,just like last season. What we have right now is Sturridge and Lambert, we need more than that. Balotelli is a good centre forward but this transfer is a roll of a dice. I stated my position on this so so many times here, I dont want him. He is bad for the dressing room, he is bad on his off-days and the most specific reason which this didn't apply to Suarez, he never works for the team- Its always about him and his ego self.

Suarez was controversial but he delivered. I could live with that. Balotelli isn't as controversial- but he is childish and most of the times, he doesn't deliver.

You have to look at this transfer and how it will affect the whole club- there are some very delicate souls in the dressing room- Sturridge, Coutinho, Sterling. How is one of the Balotelli's antics gonna affect them?

I'm not the coach however and I trust BR, I just hope this doesn't backfire on us.

NB: Good news though: 16M is the worth the gamble, we get him for 16M and sell Borini for 14M. I'll judge that to be excellent balancing of the books.

Sure, there are games we scored 4, 5 or 6 goals but we still conceded the good number of goals.

Remember the last but one game we were leading 3 - 0 and we couldn't hold, all three goals were levelled as we had no defense at all.

So even if Suarez had done more than that, we still could have conceded a good number of goals to balance the goal difference.
