So now we are deviating our discussion from intelligence to form factors (i.e sizes, and physical appearances)?

Do you want to tell me that an elephant has got no intelligence because it's size is too big compared to a human being size?
Or because it's brain can not process things faster than a human brain?

The question there was not whether Sophia has intelligence equal to human's intelligence.
No one said Sophia has intelligence equals to super intelligence either.

The question of Sophia's intelligence should be, does she solves problems intelligently without human interaction during the decision making process?

Does it/her make intelligent decisions like human beings, regardless of whether she had any sort of training or she was programmed before the decision making process?

Given new scenario (new problem) will Sophia find a solution to that problem intelligently using empirical data, literature, e.t.c?

For the matter of fact even you, when you were born you couldn't make intelligent decisions before you had any learning,You couldn't say mama before learning it from someone else around you.
You were programmed to call that woman your mother by someone, the only difference between you and Sophia(the robot ) is that she had artificial or machine learning and you had natural learning process.

With improvement in processor technology like Google's Quantum Computing ( qubits ) the size of AI machines and their backbone will scale down to very minimal sizes probably the size of handheld device.

NOTE: Again, I'm not expert in machine learning and AI for this case. So everything I say consider it coming from a layman in that area of expertise.

And, under given requirements I can make another Sophia version of robot but what will I benefit from it? Nothing it can't even assist human tasks just for entertainment

Softwares learn on themselves??? You mean data mining??

Elon Musk fears the version of Reality Intelligence ( an intelligence where a machine lives on its own ) not this Artificial intelligence.

AI frameworks, are a hard-coded (which are 80% C++) backend softwares that are maneuvared to read ( here is what you know they are learning??) the input data ( mostly in a statistical format) and gives output (they say prediction)

And you use python to create interfaces on top of this hidden AI C++ frameworks 😬

The reason it is 'Artificial' intelligence it means the intelligence created by humans to run on machines to assist tasks (mostly in autonomous way) and because there are bunches of tech celebrities thinking that AI will overrun us 😬

There's no ready made piece of hardware that can think on itself without inputs (sensors & software updates)

Machine learning? Feeding inputs data and it determines the pattern of data variation and it gives us output we call it prediction, a task that would need a person about 5 months to analyze data you call that an intelligence we should fear? the reason it is artificial says it all, neither natural mimic, nor any reality approaches.

Computers failed to overtake humans let it alone to AI, come on man, it's called advanced programming
