First you need to know who Paul was before becoming a follower of Jesus.His name was Saul and he was a Pharasee(Mfarisayo).On top of that his job was to excute those who were believed to be followers of Jesus.(He was there when Stephano was stoned to death).

When Jesus appeared to him he was on his way from Jerusalem to Damascus and before that he requested a permit to drag all believers of christ that he will find in Damascus back to Jerusalem to be punished or excuted.Paul was very religious and he hated when he saw the Law of moses was broken.

So i want to ask you a question,by this background of Paul do you really believe he didnt know what Jesus preached?
Why he hated Christians if he didnt know what Christians preach?

Even if he didnt meet Jesus when Jesus was still on earth that doesnt mean he didnt know the message of Jesus.Remember the first thing he did after meeting Jesus was to go to somebody Anania(iam not sure of the name)?why do you think he went to see him?
