Eating Faeces and Drinking Urine - It's All in the Bible!

Eating faeces and drinking urine are considered distasteful by most people yet they both have a long history. Coprophagia is usually practiced by sexual deviants or as a form of bodily mortification. Imbibing urine, on the other hand, is regarded by some as a legitimate medical practice... although not always.
In 701 BCE, for example, Sennacherib, King of Assyria, was poised to capture Jerusalem. Rab-shakeh, Sennacherib’s emissary, threatened the Israelites on his master’s behalf.


But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? Hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
(2 Kings 18:27)

Proverbs, on the other hand, appears to be giving advice rather than trying to intimidate.

(Proverbs 5:15-17)

Pondering this, John Armstrong, a consumptive living in Britain in the 1920s, wondered whether this really was a reference to the body's own water. Ignoring the prevailing medical opinion of the day, Armstrong began drinking his urine, cured himself of consumption and eventually wrote a best-seller on the subject, The Water of Life (1944). However, this practice has been going on in India for centuries.

The prophet Ezekiel, on the other hand, was ordered by God to cook some rather strange bread.


And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
(Ezekiel 4:12)

It’s debatable as to whether this means that the faeces should be mixed in with the barley cakes or whether it should be used as fuel but, in either case, Ezekiel balks at this part of the recipe. Quite reasonably, he points out that his soul is not polluted and he has no intention of putting something so abominable in his mouth. God duly allows Ezekiel to use cow’s dung instead.

AbdurRahman ibn AbuLayla, quoting Usayd ibn Hudayr, a man of the Ansar, said that while he was given to jesting and was talking to the people and making them laugh, the Prophet (saws) poked him under the ribs with a stick. A man from the Ansar said on the authority of Ka'b ibn Ujrah that he was feeling pain in his head (due to lice); so he shaved his head. The Prophet (saws) ordered him to sacrifice a cow as offering.

Narrated Ka`b bin Ujra:
The Prophet came to me at the time of Al-Hudaibiya Pledge while lice were falling on my face. He said, "Are the lice of your head troubling you?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Shave your head and fast for three days, or feed six poor persons, or slaughter a sheep as sacrifice." (The sub-narrator, Aiyub said, "I do not know with which of these three options he started.")

Anas b. Malik reported that 'Abd al-Rahman b. Auf and Zu'bair. b. 'Awwam complained to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) about lice; he granted them concession to wear shirts of silk.

The Prophet passed by me while I was kindling a fire under a (cooking) pot. He said, "Do the lice of your head trouble you?" I said, "Yes." So he called a barber to shave my head and ordered me to make expiation for that."

Narrated Anas:
As above. Narrated Anas: `Abdur Rahman bin `Auf and Az-Zubair complained to the Prophet, i.e. about the lice (that caused itching) so he allowed them to wear silken clothes. I saw them wearing such clothes in a holy battle.

'Amrah Radiyallahu 'Anha reports that someone asked 'Aayeshah Radiyallahu 'Anha. "What was the usual practice of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam at home?" She replied:
"He was a human from among other humans. He himself removed the lice from his clothing, milked his goats, and did all his work himself".

Allah's Apostle stood beside me at Al-Hudaibiya and the lice were falling from my head in great number. He asked me, "Have your lice troubled you?" I replied in the affirmative. He ordered me to get my head shaved. Ka`b added, "This Holy Verse:--'And if any of you is ill, or has ailment in his scalp (2.196), etc. was revealed regarding me. "The Prophet then ordered me either to fast three days, or to feed six poor persons with one Faraq (three Sas) (of dates), or to slaughter a sheep, etc. (sacrifice) whatever was available.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى، أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ، حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ وَقَفَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، وَرَأْسِي يَتَهَافَتُ قَمْلاً فَقَالَ ‏"‏ يُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ ‏"‏‏.‏ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ فَاحْلِقْ رَأْسَكَ ـ أَوْ قَالَ ـ احْلِقْ ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَ فِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ‏{‏فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ‏}‏ إِلَى آخِرِهَا‏.‏ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ صُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، أَوْ تَصَدَّقْ بِفَرَقٍ بَيْنَ سِتَّةٍ، أَوِ انْسُكْ بِمَا تَيَسَّرَ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Layla:
(Reporting the speech of Ka`b bin Umra) Allah's Apostle saw him (i.e. Ka`b) while the lice were falling on his face. He asked (him), "Have your lice troubled you?" He replied in the affirmative. So, he ordered him to get his head shaved while he was at Al-Hudaibiya. At that time they were not permitted to finish their Ihram, and were still hoping to enter Mecca. So, Allah revealed the verses of Al-Fidya. Allah's Apostle ordered him to feed six poor persons with one Faraq of food or to slaughter one sheep (as a sacrifice) or to fast for three days.

Leo,ninataka tumuangalie Mtume Muhammad kwa namna alivyoweza kujihusisha na suala la Sayansi kwa kile kinachosemwa ni kwa msaada wa Mungu.Kurani neno la Mungu;maneno ambayo Mungu akiisha kuyaandika huko Mbinguni, alikuwa anampatia Malaika Gabriel na malaika Gabriel akampatia Mtume Muhammad katika Nyakati tofauti tofauti na Muhammad kuyaweka katika maandishi,lakini kwa namna ya pekee,kwa mara ya kwanza kabisa ikiwa ni katika Pango lililoko katika Mlima Hira, Jabal an-Nour,huko Makka,ambako inadaiwa Mtume Muhammad alipokea ufunuo huo, kwa matatizo sana kwa sababu ya kutojua kwake kusoma na kuandika,Malaika Gabrieli alijikuta anamkaba.

Kwa njia ya ufunuo wa Kurani,tunafunuliwa mambo mengi ya Kisayansi ambamo Muhammad anatujuza jinsi mambo yalivyo.Kwa leo, ninawaletea jambo moja tu.Nalo ni juu ya namna Jua linavyokuchwa na kadri Mungu atakavyotujalia tutayaangazia na mambo mengine.


Kurani kupitia Sura al-Kahf (18: 83-86), inaeleza kwamba Jua huchwea katika chemchemu ya matope meusi mazito(dark Muddy spring):

“83-Na wanakuuliza khabari za Dhul- Qarnaini. Waambie: Nitakusimulieni baadhi ya hadithi yake.84 -Sisi tulimtilia nguvu katika ardhi na tukampa njia za kila kitu.85 - Basi akaifuata njia. 86 - Hata alipo fika machwea-jua aliliona linatua katika chemchem yenye matope meusi. Na hapo akawakuta watu. Tukasema: Ewe Dhul-Qarnaini! Ama uwaadhibu au watwae kwa wema.”

Wakati Muhammad akiwa ametupasha ukweli huo ambao aliandikiwa na Mungu, Ukweli wa kisayansi umebainisha kwamba Jua ni kubwa zaidi na lenye joto kali kuliko dunia.Na ikitokea kwamba Dunia inakaribiana na Jua,basi dunia itayeyuka kutokana na joto kubwa la Jua.

Ukweli mwingine,ambao pia Sayansi imetupatia ni kwamba Jua halitembei bali sayari mbalimbali ndio hulizunguka,ikiwemo Sayari yetu ya Dunia. Historia inaonyesha kwamba mtu wa kwanza kugusagusa habari za kuwa Jua lilikuwa halizunguki alikuwa ni Aristarchus (310-230KK).

Aristarchus alikuwa ni mwana-Astronomia wa Kigriki. Yeye aliamini dunia ilikuwa katikati ya Mfumo wa Jua(Solar system) na sayari zingine (ikijumuishwa na nyota ambazo zilikuwa zimefungwa katika nafasi fulani) ndio zilizokuwa zikilizunguka Jua.

Hata hivyo, baadaye mwanasayansi,Aristarchus, alikuja kugundua kuwa sio dunia iliyokuwa katikati ya Mfumo wa Jua, bali ni Jua na hivi kwamba ni Dunia na sayari zingine ndizo zilikuwa zikilizunguka Jua.Ugunduzi wa namna hii ulipatikana miaka mingi sana (takribani karne tatu hivi) kabla hata ya Yesu Kristu kuzaliwa na karne tisa kabla ya Muhammad kuzaliwa.

Mwanasayansi mwingine pia aliyekuja na mtizamo tofuati na wa Muhammad (kwa kadri ya ufunuo kutoka kwa Mungu) ni Jean Buridan (1300-1359/61). Huyu) anafahamika kama Mwanafalsafa Mashuhuri sana katika Ufaransa.Buridan alikuwa Mwalimu katika Kitivo cha Sanaa cha Chuo Kikuu cha Paris kwa kupindi chote cha maisha yake ya kitaaluma akimakinika hasa hasa katika masuala ya Logiki (Logic) na kazi za mwanafalsafa Aristotle.

Ni Bridan aliyeanzisha wazo juu ya kiitwacho Copernican Revolution katika Ulaya.Hili ni fundisho lililoleta mwangaza kutoka kuamini kwamba dunia ilikuwa imesimama sehemu moja katika ulimwengu na kwamba Jua ndio lilikuwa linaizunguka dunia (Geocentrism) hadi kueleweka kwamba kumbe Jua ndilo limesimama wakati dunia na sayari zingine zikilizunguka (Heliocentrism).

Kumbe, sasa kwa uchache,kwa mawazo ya hao wanasayansi wawili,tunapata picha kwamba Muenendo wa Jua kuchomoza na kutua sio jambo lililoanza wakati wa Muhammad.Na kama suala la Sayansi ya Mfumo wa Jua lilianza mapema kabla ya Yesu na Muhammad kuzaliwa, yeye Muhammad alipopewa ufunuo na Mungu, hakuweza kujiuliza iwapo ufunuo huo wa Mungu inakuwaje unapingana na ukweli wa mambo?Katika kutafakari ufunuo huu wa Mungu kwa Muhammad, nimejikuta nina maswali yafuatayo,ambayo naomba yatuongoze katika kujadili suala hili.Ni muhimu kujadili kwa sababu pengine Dunia inatufundisha vitu ambavyo havipo.Hivi kweli Mungu anaweza kumueleza Muhammad mambo ya uongo?Maswali mengine ambayo bila shaka hata wewe unaweza kujiuliza ni haya:

1. Hiyo Chemchemi ya matope mazito na meusi iko hapa duniani?Na kama haipo hapa duniani iko angani? Na kama iko angani iko sehemu gani?


2. Huyo Dhul-Qarnaini alikuwa ni kiumbe wa namna gani huyo aliyepewa uwezo wa kuona Jua linavyotumbukia katika matope?


3. Pamoja na kwamba wakati wakati wa Muhammad, labda Sayansi ya kwamba Jua halizunguki, isipokuwa dunia ndio hulizunguka Jua, ilikuwa haijafika katika maeneo ya ardhi ya Arabia, bado hata vizazi vya zamani sana havikupata kuwa na uelewa kama huo wa Muhammad kuwa Jua lilikuwa linatua matope meusi! Je,ilikuwaje katika Vizazi vyote hivyo hapo katikati(ikiwemo na Yesu mwenyewe ambaye Muhammad anamuelezea kama aliyekuwa na uwezo wa kufinyanga wanasesere na kuwapulizia uhai na wakawa ndege kamili), kabla ya Muhammad, akakosekana mtu mwenye uelewa wa kuliona Jua likizama katika matope meusi tofauti? Hivi wewe kwa sayansi hii ya Muhamma juu ya Jua kuchwea katika matope meusi haikupelekei kujiuliza yafuatayo:

· Je, Muhammad kusema mambo ambayo hakuwa nayo uthibitisho ilikuwa ni kutafuta tu kuonekana kwamba Mungu amempa ufunuo wa kipekee juu ya ulimwengu?


· Je, vizazi ya Kiarabu na dunia kwa ujumla baada ya kugundua kwa tafiti za kisayansi, ambazo zimethibitisha kuwa Jua huzungukwa na sayari mbalimbali, ikiwemo Sayari yetu ya dunia, vimuoneje, Muhammad na Uislamu kwa ujumla?


· Je,wanadamu wa vizazi vyote vinavyofahamu kuwa Jua halijawahi kuzama katika matope ama meusi,bluu au meupe, visimuamini Muhammad katika mambo mengine aliyoyasema au vimuchukulie kama mtu aliyekuwa anajaribu kupiga ramli ya jinsi mambo yalivyo?

Lakini swali la mwisho kabisa ambalo nitaomba ujiulize ni hili:Je,Ni kwa nini hadi leo baada ya kugundulika kuwa Jua halizami na wala halizunguki,ni kwa nini hadi sasa aya hiyo iko imesalia katika Kurani?Je,ni nani anasema uongo kati ya Mungu na wanasayansi juu ya suala la Jua?

Karibu kwa mjadala ili tupate kujua ukweli kwa faida ya maendeleo ya Dunia yetu.

Fuatilia vzuri historia ya mtukufu mtume MUHAMMAD (SAWW) tena penda kuwauliza wanazuoni wa kiislam ili wakujuze vizur sehemu usizozielewa .
Quraan takatifu ni kitabu ambacho kina elimu zote za science na kila fani .na ni ngumu kujua aya ilikua inamaana gani hasa mpaka uwe mtu mwenye elimu ya ndani ya Quraan takatifu.

Hivyo acha kihelehele cha kuchukua vipande vya aya ambazo ujui ata zilikua zinalenga kitu gani wewe unaangalia tafsiri ya juu tu ya kimaana unaposti humu acha hio tabia ya kumzushia mtukufu mtume MUHAMMAD (saww) huyu ni kiumbe Bora kuliko viumbe wote alivoviumba mungu.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، - قَالَ لَيْسَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ذَكَرَهُ وَلَكِنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الأَسْوَدِ - عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَتَى الْخَلاَءَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ ائْتِنِي بِثَلاَثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِحَجَرَيْنِ وَرَوْثَةٍ فَأَخَذَ الْحَجَرَيْنِ وَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ وَقَالَ ‏"‏ هِيَ رِجْسٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Mbona hadithi iko wazi mtume kaagiza mawe matatu , jamaa kaleta mawili na kitu tofauti na jiwe, ndio maana mtume akaendelea na yale mawe mawili kwa sababu kile cha tatu sio Jiwe Ahahahhahahahaahjhhahaja hizi hadithi zitakutesa sana maana huzielewi Ahahahhahahahaahjhhahaja , halafu kuhusu Sugu hayo maneno yako kwa sababu mawe yanatumika pale ambapo kuna uhaba mkubwa wa maji

Mtu aliyepita katikati ya Yericko akavamiwa na wanyang'anyi wakamjeruhi. Wakamuacha ameanguka kando ambapo..
Kwa nasibu KUHANI mmoja alishuka kwa njia ile; na alipomwona alipita kando. Na MLAWI vivyo hivyo, alipofika pale akamwona, akapita kando. Lakini, MSAMARIA mmoja katika kusafiri kwake alifika hapo alipo; na alipomwona alimhurumia..(Luke 10:31-33).

Kupitia Mfano huu, unaeleza watu wanaoonekana kua wako nafasi ya kuhudumu mbele za Mungu wanavyotenda.

Kwa ufupi ilikua ni Najisi kwa Walawi na Makuhani kushika Damu ya mtu aliyejeruhiwa.

Wakati Yesu anawafundisha mfano huu alikua anatumbua majipu ya uelewa wao wa Maandiko.

Yapo Maandiko, Yameandikwa Bwana akasema; lakini ndivyo ilivyoandikwa.

Yesu ndiye anakuja kukueleza kile Bwana anasema. Yesu ndiye Neno la Mungu mwenyewe.
Yesu anasema; Mtu ambaye si pamoja nami yu kinyume changu; na mtu asiyekusanya pamoja nami hutawanya.(Luke 11:23).

Wana wa Israeli walihamia Misri kumfuata Yosefu aliyekua waziri Mkuu nyakati zile za miaka saba ya Njaa kali. Zama za Yosefu zilipoondoka, wakageuzwa watumwa huko Misri. Ilibidi tena Mungu awarudishe kwenye mji wao ambao alimuahidi Abrahamu. Walikotoka na baba yao Yakobo.

Wakati Yesu anazaliwa; kulikua na mgawanyo ambapo kuna walioitwa wayahudi wa kabila la Yuda na Wasamaria. Wana wa Israeli walikua chini ya miliki ya mataifa mageni ya Ugiriki. Hata lugha kuu ya Yesu ilikua kiaramaini.

Narrated Usayd ibn Hudayr,:
AbdurRahman ibn AbuLayla, quoting Usayd ibn Hudayr, a man of the Ansar, said that while he was given to jesting and was talking to the people and making them laugh, the Prophet (saws) poked him under the ribs with a stick. He said: Let me take retaliation. He said: Take retaliation. He said: You are wearing a shirt but I am not. The Prophet(saws) then raised his shirt and the man embraced himand began to kiss his side. Then he said: This is what I wanted, Messenger of Allah!

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، - رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ - قَالَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ وَكَانَ فِيهِ مِزَاحٌ بَيْنَا يُضْحِكُهُمْ فَطَعَنَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي خَاصِرَتِهِ بِعُودٍ فَقَالَ أَصْبِرْنِي ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اصْطَبِرْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ قَمِيصًا وَلَيْسَ عَلَىَّ قَمِيصٌ ‏.‏ فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ قَمِيصِهِ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ وَجَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ كَشْحَهُ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَرَدْتُ هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏.‏

Kamata na hiyo mkajipe raha na mashekh ubwabwa wako.

'Ali narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"Indeed in Paradise there is a market in which there is no buying nor selling- except for images of men and women. So whenever a man desires an image, he enters it."

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَهَنَّادٌ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَسُوقًا مَا فِيهَا شِرَاءٌ وَلاَ بَيْعٌ إِلاَّ الصُّوَرَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ فَإِذَا اشْتَهَى الرَّجُلُ صُورَةً دَخَلَ فِيهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏

"; Definitely , the inhabitants of Heaven will visit a market every Friday. A northerly wind will blow and it will spread (goodness) upon their faces and clothes, causing them to increase in beauty . They will return to their wives after having become more beautiful than they were before. Their wives will say to them," we swear by Allah,you have definitely increased in beauty." They will also say to their wives ," we swear by Allah, you have also increased in beauty".
