The law, the law of Moses and the Old Covenant are terms that are used interchangeably. Jesus says in Mark 7:10: "For Moses said, `Honor your father and your mother'; and, `He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' This is the 10 Commandments, yet Jesus attributes it to Moses, not to the 10 commandments, making no distinction. What we see is keeping the moral commandments also means observing the penalties.

Those who understand the Gospel (the goodness of God, the wickedness of sin, the graciousness of God to provide a savior) will, naturally seek to please the God who save them and whom they serve, and the best way we can know what this is it to look to the law He's given us.

The only conflict in especially the first narration is that it is not correct to assume Jesus was warning Christians. NO. Infact he was warning THE ISRAELITES of the TIME to whom he was sent and into whose synagogues he too prayed

I assume, By and Large, Bantus were worshiping Yahweh all along. This is probably why you don't find idols being worshiped in this group of people. Worshiping was ALWAYS through ANCESTORS.
