Ancelotti, nominated for the 2014 FIFA Best Manager award
Carlo Ancelotti has been included in the shortlist of candidates published by the bi-weekly magazine France Football for the 2014 FIFA Best Manager award. The Italian coach is among ten nominees for the prize, which will be awarded on 12 January in Zurich during the 2014 Ballon d'Or ceremony, for which six Real Madrid players are nominated. Before then, on 1 December, FIFA and France Football will announce the names of the three finalists for the award.

Real Madrid completed their final training session ahead of Wednesday's first leg Round of 32 clash against Cornellà in the Copa del Rey (8pm CET). The session, which was held in the Santiago Bernabéu, included Medrán, Raúl de Tomás, Lucas Torró and Jaime from the Castilla squad. The manager gave Cristiano Ronaldo the day off.
Ancelotti mainly focused on ball work. While the goalkeepers trained separately, the outfield players worked on ball circulation and completed speed drills. Following that, the Whites used half the pitch to play a match.

The Whites landed at El Prat Airport following a flight lasting approximately one hour, and received an enthusiastic welcome from a group of fans. The players showed their appreciation for the support by signing autographs. They then travelled to make their pre-match preparations at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I, where they will remain until the game.
