Ndio hivyo, tatizo wataalam wetu wanaotoa maelezo wengi wanashindwa kuelezea vizuri concept ya HSR. At this day and age huwezi ukajenga reli ya kufikisha speed ya 160 pekee kwa kutumia gharama yote hio halafu 10 years down the line uingie gharama upya za kurekebisha ili iweze kufikisha walau speed ya 250 km/hr.

Kwa Tender yetu tunataka EMU 5 zenye kubeba abiria 1800. Sasa kama ni za 6 coaches tunaweza tusifikishe hio tender requirement kwa sababu seating capacity ya EMU coaches nyingi ni kti ya 45 na 48. Zipo chache zenye kubeba abiria 64 kama hii mpya ya Turkey. Angalia kwa 8 cars inakuwa 45 x 8 x 5 = 1800. Hii ni sawa na Tender requirement.

Pata picha reli ya MGR Katavi kwenda Karema port ikiisha na kuja kuungana na revamped continuos welded MGR toka Isaka kwenda Dar au ile MGR toka Uvinza kwenda Burundi ikikamilika.

Kwa maoni yangu itachukua muda sana kuja kujenga SGR kwenye route hizohizo! Baada ya line za Dar-Mwanza, Tabora-Kigoma na Isaka-Kigali itachukua muda sana kuja kuwa na line nyingine za SGR natabiri MGR na CGR zilizopo kuja kuwa electrified.

Exactly, Chakwera kasema atafanya maneno kuunganisha reli yetu na yake kupitia Lake Nyasa kama tukijenga Mtwara-Mbababay, hii ina maana kutakuwa na wagon ferries! Kujenga SGR Mtwara-Mbambabay will be wastage of opportunity to cede the landlocked SADC cargo na i am talking out of synergies btn our rail and SADC network!

Mtwara Mbambabay inapaswa itumike na Zambia na DRC pia na wao wana CGR sioni mantiki ya SGR halafu ikifika Mbambabay lazma container zipakiwe kwenye wagon cars za CGR that will add up cost. The best solution will be electrified CGR track ije iungane na TAZARA na to an extension to Walvis Bay and Lobito! Na kama TAZARA wataweza kujenga shortcut within Zambia kuunga moja kwa moja na Angola rail via Katanga will be lovely!

Naongea hili out of economics n btw even at CGR train can move fast too! Kaka umenivunja nguvu sana kwa kukosa kuweka ushahidi, hicho unachozungumza ni wishful yako, inapendeza kuwa na mawazo chanya kama bwana malisa.

Lakini ukweli ni kwamba, reli yetu inajengwa kwa design ya 160Km/hr, sio kweli unayosema kwamba ni 250km/hr. Kaka huwezi kujenga reli yenye kuruhusu kasi kubwa kiasi hicho kwa ajili ya natumizi ya 160km/hr, huo utakua ni ujinga na matumizi ya hovyo kabisa ya pesa za nchi.

Ujenzi wa reli ni gharama sana, kadri design ya reli inavyoruhusu mwendo mkali zaidi, ndivyo gharama inavyoongezeka kutokana na ukweli kwamba, reli lazima iwe imenyooka isiwe na kona nyingi wa miporomoko au panda shuka nyingi.

Ili kufikia hayo matakwa ya reli kunyooka bila kuwepo na pandashuka nyingi, katika nchi zetu hizi zenye milima na mabonde mengi, tutalazimika kutoboa milima kutengeneza "tunnels" nyingi sana, kujenga madaraja mengi na marefu sana, kuvunja nyumba na vijiji vingi sana, hivyo kuifanya ujenzi uwe ghali na very "inconvinience".

Trains tutakazo nunua ni zenye ni ITX kutoka South Korea ambazo maximum speed yake ni 165km/hr, ukiacha hizo South Korea wanatengeneza KTX ambazo kasi yake ni 305km/hr, na huwa zina 18 coaches per Train, hizi ni ghali sana kuzinunua na kuziendesha, sio tu kwa nchi masikini, lakini pia uwezekano wa kusababisha ajali ni mkubwa sana.

Hili likithibitika ni kweli itakuwa tiketi ya kuniamsha mapema saa 12 oktoba 28 kwenda kumpigia kura Magufuli!

Hakika ni jambo kubwa sana kwangu, ila kama itakuwa mitreni michakavu ile ya 1970's basi siamki kabisa siku hio.
