The rise and fall of Colonel Muamar Gadaffi

Go and read your bible carefully and slowly...its written in psalms:82:6 and even Jesus himself said we are gods. And the epistles of Paul inatuambia we are joint heirs with Jesus so why are you worried equating Ghadaffi to His brother Jesus who is the first born in the Kingdom of our dear God the father? All who are born in spirit are daughters and sons of God; Can God bear a child of different nature to him? This will be a new innovation in science for reproduction is possible in the same species and never to a different species. So unless you are sure Ghadafi is not born of the spirit of God by faith you have no right to judge him not to be a joint heir with christ in the kingdom of God.

Just one point-I do not hate Gadafi or anyone for that matter, and I am sure if you read me well, there is nowhere where I implied that I detest Gadaffi....I mainly said and I say, that we cannot equate a mortal being with the immortal, a finite with the infinite. Plus I made it clear Gadafi might have done good things just as anyone else, but that does not equate him with Jesus......hayo mengine si yangu ni yako na kama unataka kumwita Gadafi Mungu pia ni uchaguzi wako....but what you think about him does not necessarily make him what he ought to be

Ghadafi ana bahati pia kuwa Obama ndiyo rais, angekuwa republican Gaddafi angekuwa out loong time.

Msimamo wangu pia ni the same.Libya wanaonewa, the war is unnecessary,na lengo ni kuwarudisha nyuma tu.Wananchi wa Libya waliowasapoti wavamizi watajuta, kwasababu it will take long before they get what they have been getting under the current regime.

Gadaffi u r our hero no matter what.

The Battle against Gadhafi

NATO Fears War without End in Libya

By Carsten Volkery

AP Rebel fighters in the town of Brega. Their leaders have demanded more air strikes from NATO.

The front in Libya is barely moving as the country remains split between rebels and Gadhafi's troops. The rebels are complaining of not receiving enough air support, but NATO is hardly in a position to ramp it up after the withdrawal of US fighter jets. The resulting stalemate underscores the lack of a clear strategy for the allies in Libya.

American warplanes had hardly left the skies over Libya when the remonstrations began. "NATO has let us down," said rebel military chief Abdul Fattah Younis. As the rebels retreated in the town of Brega in the face of a heavy onslaught by Gadhafi's troops, there were no NATO planes in sight.

The withdrawal of the American planes, which flew more than half of the sorties in the first two weeks of the air strikes, has weakened NATO's potential force. With the organization having taken control of the operation, American planes are now only in standby mode, leaving the much smaller air forces of France and the United Kingdom to take on most of the workload. Appeals from the NATO leadership to member countries to send more aircraft have so far been met with little success. Only the British have beefed up their presence, increasing the number of its Tornado contingent from eight to 12. The French, meanwhile, are having to split their military resouces between two fronts now, with the opening of the conflict in the Ivory Coast. But the Libyan rebels are not alone in their complaints: Within NATO, there is also increasing frustration at the slow progress on the ground. The seemingly rudderless attacking and fleeing of the untrained fighters in the face of government soldiers is causing the Western allies to despair, albeit not in public, because it looks more and more likely that the undeclared aim of the international intervention -- the removal of Moammar Gadhafi -- will probably never be achieved.

And this mutual disillusionment suggests that the second phase of the civil war is now beginning. The situation which critics had feared from the start has now seemingly occurred: a stalemate. The rebels are strong enough, with the support of NATO, to maintain their control of Benghazi, but are too weak to drive on in the direction of Tripoli. The front is moving a few miles back and forth, but the split between the Gadhafi-controlled west of the country and the rebel zone in the east seems to be solidifying.

"Sliding into a Prolonged Conflict"
"Libya appears to be sliding into a prolonged conflict with no light at the end of the tunnel," Fawaz Gerges, a Middle East expert at the London School of Economics (LSE), wrote in a commentary posted on CNN's website. The tenacious resistance of the Gadhafi regime is not surprising, he added, "given the tribal structure of Libyan society and Gadhafi's manipulation and co-opting of tribal divisions and allies."

Exactly! Hata kama Gaddafi akishindwa, there will be another revolution because the current revolution is not the revolution of Libyan People,ni wahuni wa baadhi ya sehemu kama Benghazi nk wanaopewa sapoti kubwa na west pamoja na maadui wengine wa Libya wa ndani na nje ya nchi hiyo....Wale wa ndani ni ambao pengine wameasi wakitegemea kufaidika zaidi pamoja na more power, ambao wanataka kutake advantage of what has been going on in the neighboring countries like Egypt and Tunisia...True revolution of Libyan People iliongozwa na Gaddafi.

Upuuzi wa tamaa, sasa wanataka hayo mafuta yanufaishe familia kadhaa tu na maybe koo kadhaa,it will be cheaper for the invaders to split it up,and benefit from it....ofcourse plus cost minimization.

Mkuu wewe si mgeni any more humu JF.
Sikujua kama nilihitaji kuexplain all of this.

Turkey proposes roadmap for peace in Libya

ANKARA, Turkey – Turkey's prime minister proposed a roadmap for peace in Libya on Thursday, urging forces aligned with Moammar Gadhafi to withdraw from besieged cities, the establishment of humanitarian aid corridors and comprehensive democratic change.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the measures would be discussed at a meeting by a group set up to guide the international intervention in Libya in Qatar next week. "Firstly, a real cease-fire must immediately be declared and Gadhafi's forces must lift the siege of some cities and withdraw," Erdogan told a televised news conference. "Secondly, humanitarian aid corridors must be set up to provide aid to all Libyans and thirdly, a comprehensive democratic change process should be started." Erdogan said "solid steps must immediately be taken toward a constitutional political change process," following a real cease-fire.

Turkey initially balked at the idea of military action in Libya, but is now taking part in the enforcement of a no-fly zone to shield civilians and has volunteered to lead humanitarian aid efforts.

Erdogan urged the Libyan administration to "shoulder a historical responsibility and open the way for democratic process." He said "an end to the bloodshed" and preserving Libya's territorial integrity "particularly depends on the attitude of the Libyan administration."

Waulize wairaki, bado wanajuta

Obama alisema wazi kuwa they dont want another Iraki.Watu hawasikilizi hotuba kwa makini na kuread btn the lines.Obama alisema "To be blunt" We can not afford another Iraqi.

A prolonged and a costly war has its own consequences, kama historia inavyodhihirisha, and it can take a big nation down,US wanajua kabisa hao wa europe nao sasa wako kwenye a prolonged war huko Libya, wanataka iwe hivyo ndio maana wamewaacha huko...Sasa wanategeana hao maana some in Europe wanataka marekani iendelee ku strech thin na marekani nao wanataka the same for Europe....Hao kina Sarkozy siyo watu wazuri hao, ngoja tuone watafanyaje sasa hapo Libya.

Ndiyo maana naamini kuwa democracy is not a panacea to governance problems in this world. Although democracy is necessary its not sufficient to bring about welfare. Huu ulifaa wakati wa Nyerere ili kuleta unit amongst us sasa wasaliti wengine hata baada ya unit kupatikana wana utumia kuleta division at their selfish motives.

AJDABIYAH, Libya (Reuters) - Libya's civil war is reaching stalemate, a senior U.S. general said on Thursday, and rebels fighting to overthrow Muammar Gaddafi said a NATO air strike killed five of their fighters.

Wounded rebels being brought to a hospital in Ajdabiyah in rebel-held east Libya said they were hit by a NATO strike on their trucks and tanks outside the contested port of Brega.

NATO said it was investigating an attack by its aircraft on a tank column in the area on Thursday.

General Carter Ham, head of U.S. Africa command, told a Senate hearing Washington should not provide arms to the rebels without a better idea of who they were.

Asked if there was an emerging stalemate, he replied: "I would agree with that at present, on the ground."

Mkuu nashangaa kwanini hao walibya hawajiulizi?Ni revolution gani hiyo inayowapa nguvu wakoloni mliowaondoa on the first revolution?Mtaliani si walimfukuza?Wananchi wa Libya hata kama walikuwa hawampendi Gaddafi lakini ni wasaliti na they did himi wrong.Jamaa siyo perferct lakini si sapoti huu upuuzi.
Mimi nashangazwa ni wananchi gani hao wamefanya huu ujinga.Mostly naamini ni wahuni tu kama Gaddafi alivyosema, kama ingekuwa ni wananchi Gaddafi asingekuwa in power this time.
