so hakuna majibizano, kilichobaki ni kutafakari kiundani kwa yale uliyokuwa unayashabikia. Usijihisi uko guilty kiasi hicho. Kujifunza hakuna mwisho. Usije ukaruhusu hisia zikatawala matendo yako.

Let us respect each other's opionion. You can not convince me otherwise, unfortunately. Kwa maoni yangu Gaddafi ni mtu wa kuondolewa madarakani!

Top Gaddafi Minister Quits: Report

Libyan Interior Minister Nassr al-Mabrouk Abdullah arrived in Cairo on Monday in what appeared to be a defection from Gaddafi’s regime. Al-Mabrouk landed in a private plane with nine family members in tow, having reportedly come from Tunisia, where several unnamed Gaddafi officials reportedly met with rebels on Sunday to discuss a possible end of the six-month civil war.

The minister’s arrival in Cairo comes on the heels of significant rebel advances in key towns near Tripoli, where they are reportedly planning to make their next major move. In a speech on Monday broadcast by state television, Gaddafi vowed to avenge his traitors: “Get ready for the fight…The blood of martyrs is fuel for the battlefield.”

Africans stuck in Tunisia after fleeing from Libya

Five months after Sudanese worker Mohammed Hassan fled civil war in Libya he is still stranded in a tent city just across the border in Tunisia.

"In my own country there is a conflict and violence. I cannot go there so where do I go now?" said Mohammed, who comes from Sudan's troubled Darfur region. He left years ago for Libya to escape violence at home.

African workers in particular were frequently targeted by Gaddafi's opponents, who sometimes accused them of working for the government as mercenaries.

Libya: Gaddafi 'seriously ill' as rebels claim advance towards the capital

Libya's embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi is "gravely ill" according to unnamed Libyan and foreign sources cited by pan-Arab daily 'Asharq al-Awasat'. The sources did not provide further details of his medical condition.

The rebel Transitional National Council said medical reports had confirmed Gaddafi had a serious illness. The TNC said on Tuesday it would achieve victory against Gaddafi within a month.

According to Asharq al-Awsat, Gaddafi's worsening health prompted him to send the head of his office to Mali and to the Tunisian island of Djerba to meet French and British representatives in a bid to secure his and his family's safety.

Rebels claim to be advancing on Gaddafi's stronghold, the Libyan capital Tripoli as the bloody civil war against forces loyal to Gaddafi enters its six month and the Nato-led mission to protect civilians and enforce a no-fly zone over the country continues.

Clinton has been a champion of the administration's "smart power" policy, which aims to combine defense, diplomacy and development to advance U.S. foreign policy goals. The term is most commonly used to describe the strategies President Barack Obama has employed in Iraq and Afghanistan, where the U.S. has placed heavy emphasis on civilian projects designed to eliminate the roots of extremism. But Clinton said other elements of smart power are also at work in Libya and Syria.

She and Panetta both noted that Libyan rebels had scored recent significant military gains in their struggle to oust Moammar Gadhafi after months of stalemate.

Clinton said Libya was a study in the use of "strategic patience," whereby the United States resisted the impulse for immediate intervention and instead helped to build support for the country's nascent opposition, which the U.S. now recognizes as Libya's legitimate government. She said the unprecedented NATO-Arab alliance protecting civilians on the ground was a key result of the tactics of smart power.
