Huu ni ukoloni mpya, japo simpendi Gadafi hasa alipokwenda kujipendekeza Italy kwa kuwatukana na kudhihaki waafrika, sasa anatia akili huko ktk handaki. Lakini pia kwa upande wapili waafrika wameukubali ukoloni waziwazi, hakuna haja ya kumlaumu tena JK wala Kibaki etc eti uchumi ama nchi inaenda vibaya. Power comes from the people. Ukiweka mbele masilahi ya wananchi wako na kuacha kutumia vyombo vya dola kuwakandamiza badala ya kuwalinda ni dhahiri utakuwa na upper hand. Gaddafi angekuwa man of his people no country could attack Libya today. Viongozi wetu wa Africa wanajitengezea maadui wa ndani huku wakijua fika kuwa nje wamejaa tele. Hiki ndicho kilichotokea Libya. Unapoona wachache wananufaika na maliasili wakati majority wanasota ni dhahiri unajijengea maadui wa ndani. Kumiliki mizinga na risasi kutakuweka madarakani kwa muda tu ila kumiliki peoples' trusts ni silaha zaidi ya bomu.

Mohammed was among three of Gaddafi's sons to be captured by the rebels. The loyalist fighters stormed the house where Mohammed was held and set him free after clashes with guards there, the pan-Arab news channel said. It said NATO was working with the rebels to mount coordinated air strikes on Muammar Gaddafi's heavily fortified Bab al-Aziziya compound in the capital.
The eldest son of Col Muammar Gaddafi was giving an interview to Al-Jazeera when he was cut off after gunfire was heard in the background.
Mohammed Gaddafi told the network that he had been detained by rebels and was being kept under house arrest in Tripoli. "Gunmen surrounded my house and I am still at home and they are outside," he said by telephone from the Libyan capital.
"They said they will guarantee my safety. They are besieging my house," he added as the e sound of gunfire could be heard in the background.
"Yes, the gunfire is inside my house," he said before the line was suddenly cut off.
Mohammed later spoke to Al-Jazeera again to confirm his safety. The National Transitional Council also confirmed to the news channel that Mohammed was safe and was being looked after.
Mohammed was born in 1970 and is the head of the Libyan Olympic Committee.

The Scramble for Access to Libya's Oil Wealth Begins

Even before Libyan rebels could take full control of Tripoli, Foreign Minister Franco Frattini of Italy said on state television Monday that the Italian oil company Eni "will have a No. 1 role in the future" in the North African country.
Mr. Frattini even reported that Eni technicians were already on their way to eastern Libya to restart production. But Eni quickly denied that it had sent any personnel to the still-unsettled region, which is Italy's largest source of imported oil.
The awkward exchange suggested that the scramble to secure access to Libya's oil wealth is already on. Libyan production has been largely shut down during the long conflict between rebel forces and troops loyal to Libya's leader, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi.
Eni, as well as BP of Britain, Total of France and OMV of Austria, were all big producers before the fighting and stand to gain the most once the conflict ends. American companies like Hess, ConocoPhillips and Marathon also made deals with the Qaddafi regime, although the United States relies on Libya for less than 1 percent of its imports.
But it's unclear whether a rebel government would honor the contracts struck by the Qaddafi regime.
Even before taking power, the rebels were suggesting that they would remember their friends and foes, and negotiate deals accordingly.
"We don't have a problem with Western countries like Italians, French and U.K. companies," Abdeljalil Mayouf, a spokesman for the Libyan rebel oil company Agoco, was quoted as saying by Reuters. "But we may have some political issues with Russia, China and Brazil."
Russia, China and Brazil did not back strong sanctions on the Qaddafi regime, and they generally supported a negotiated settlement to the fighting. All three countries have large oil companies that are seeking deals in Africa for oil reserves.
Before fighting broke out in February, Libya exported 1.3 million barrels of oil a day. While that is less than 2 percent of world supplies, only Nigeria,
Algeria and a few other countries can supply equivalent grades of sweet crude that many refineries around the world depend on.

This is absurd to chant for cherishing atrocity of western dictators on Libyas people! In fact we should have been mourning for this aggression knowing soon or later these world rulers will be turning toward our states similarly as they does in any country whenever they are negative of their significance!
I wonder the trepidation of African state leaders! Where is AU?! Muhamar Ghadaf was champion on seeing African states uniting and through vigour emanated could have stopped dependences on westerns, why these states leaders who are cause of retribution on Ghadaf cant stand and admonish these evils?!
Tanzania is soon to embark on oil and uranium deals; unfortunately the same antagonists are investors on these deals through contracts drawn by them putting forward their curiosity.
We should therefore be ready for syndicated coup d'état in case we blame how they will be hoaxing our treasures.

"The revolutionaries stormed the television building ... after killing the soldiers surrounding it. It is now under their control," the spokesman said. He was speaking after television screens airing the Jamahiriyah station went blank.
