The rise and fall of Colonel Muamar Gadaffi

The rise and fall of Colonel Muamar Gadaffi

I salute you mkuu BabuK.

People can only start to understand World affairs when they realize a hidden elite plan out every war, event, financial crisis etc years if not decades before it happens.

No major event occurs by accident. How many years of proof do you need? As soon as you realise that then it makes sense. Don't look to the puppets funded into power to help either.

It's far beyond a revolution.

Mkuu.

Colonel Gaddafi may have hoarded cash from oil sales outside the traditional channels

Wednesday March 23,2011

LIBYA’S dictator has secretly built up a massive war chest of 150 tons of gold worth £4billion – enough to pay mercenaries for years.

The treasure is being stored at the Libyan central bank under Colonel Gaddafi’s direct control, according to the International Monetary Fund.
Experts said that many central banks hold their reserves in London, New York or Switzerland, but Gaddafi has always insisted Libya’s gold remains near his home in Tripoli.
The British government, along with its US and European counterparts, has frozen billions of pounds in Libyan assets after sanctions paralysed the central bank, its sovereign wealth fund and state oil company.
According to banking experts, to raise large amounts of cash, Gaddafi would have to transport the gold out of Libya. Experts believe it may have been moved near to the borders with Chad and Niger, where it could be swapped for currency.
Political unrest in the Middle East has boosted the price of gold to a record high.
But no international bank or trading house is likely to buy gold with any hint of a link to the Libyan regime, bankers said.
In addition to the gold, Gaddafi may have hoarded cash from oil sales outside the traditional channels. According to some reports, he has “tens of billions” hidden away.
Tim Niblock, an expert on Libya and professor at Exeter University, said he believed Gaddafi may have been hoarding cash since the 1990s.
The funds mean Gaddafi could resist the rebels for a sustained period.

Mkuu.

It is a big lie!
Simply to safe guard their interests.

If each of you could understand what it means by the so called "AMERICAN INTERESTS OVERSEAS" then you wouldn't waste your time arguing for nothing. American interests overseas is what shapes the US Foreign policy.

Mkuu.
Can you take your precious 5mins and tell us what those American intersts overseas are? What is it, sir? Help us out so we save our time to urgue for nothing. Instead we turn to urgue about Ufisadi, umeme and independent electoral commission and kugawana umaskini.
Your help will be highly appreciated, Patel.

Gaddafi's air force 'defeated'

Western aircraft have flown more than 300 sorties over Libya

The commander of British aircraft operating over Libya has said that Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's air force "no longer exists as a fighting force".
Air Vice-Marshal Greg Bagwell said the allies could now operate "with near impunity" over the skies of Libya.
He said they were now applying unrelenting pressure on the Libyan armed forces.
He was speaking during a visit to RAF aircrew based at Gioia del Colle in southern Italy.
"We are watching over the innocent people of Libya and ensuring that we protect them from attack" he said.
"We have the Libyan ground forces under constant observation and we attack them whenever they threaten civilians or attack population centres."
His comments come as Western leaders debate who leads the intervention, with the US keen to hand over to Nato.
Western aircraft have flown more than 300 sorties over Libya in recent days and more than 162 Tomahawk cruise missiles have been fired.

No fly zone itakuwa imefikia lengo lake.Ghadhafi hawezi tena kurusha ndege zake.

Sounds like Saddam kabla hajaenda mafichoni
Issue hii ni tofauti sana na ile ya Saddam, wangekuwa wanaenda wenyewe through ground troops, then angejificha kama Saddam, lakini kama wanategemea hao rebels peke yake, then bloodshed itakuwa even worst.

You bitch-slap those who can be bitch-slapped and Gaddafi is one of them.
Jokes aside, Gaddafi kwa mdomo wake alisema "yanayotokea Misri na Tunisia kamwe hayawezi kutokea Libya" kwa hiyo from the get go jamaa alikuwa tayari anajua atafanya nini maandamano yakiwa makubwa.

Gaddafi apoteza Misrata

Libya: Allied air strikes secure Misrata for rebels

Siege ends in key town as bombs destroy Gaddafi's tanks and artillery but regime continue to hold Ajdabiya despite air raids

Nearly 12 hours of allied air strikes have broken the Libyan regime's five-day bloody assault on the key rebel-held town of Misrata. Residents said yesterday that the aerial bombardment destroyed tanks and artillery and sent many of Muammar Gaddafi's forces fleeing from Misrata, ending a siege and attack by the regime that cost nearly 100 lives from random shelling, snipers and bitter street fighting.

Mohammed Ali, an IT engineer at Misrata's main hospital, said that waves of air strikes began shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

"They bombed a lot of sites of the Gaddafi army. There is a former hospital where his tanks were based. All the tanks and the hospital were destroyed. A column of tanks was destroyed on the edge of the city," he said. "After that there was no shelling. We are very relieved. We are very grateful. We want to thank the world. The Gaddafi forces are scattered around. All that is left is the snipers and our fighters can take care of them."

Ali said people in Misrata wanted the coalition to keep up the air strikes until all Gaddafi's forces were driven away from the town to ensure that those who were able to escape with armoured vehicles and guns did not return.
