For the sake of our development, for the sake of trade and political and technological and cultural intercourse with the rest of the world, we need to master at least one of these global languages.
Well said, and for a country like Tanzania, where English isn't our primary language, not all the people need to Master English! Babu yangu kule kijijini hana haja ya kujua kiingereza, what he needs is a good command of Swahili and his tribal language!
Na kuweka tu kumbukumbu sawa, hakuna kitu ambacho tumeshindwa kufanya cha kimataifa ambacho eti lugha imekuwa ni barrier, kama kipo nakiomba!
Kusema hivi haina maana we don't need English! We need it and English needs us! And we are good at it, though not compared to you Kenyans as you can't be compared to Ugandans! So there must be a level of inequality as far as English speaking is concerned among different Nations!
