Election Board distance themselves from those results. What is situation right now Ab?

UPDATE: Narc briefing live on media. Some member of UDF, Wiper and ODM decided to join Narc

oh how you like nit picking with CORD...eti succesfully wrestling the violence monster?...as if that is a preserve
for CORD!

The good book tells me two things: "Judge not, lest you be judged"...and "remove the log in your eye before
removing the speck in your brothers eye."

Thanks mkuu,

indeed you have worked very hard to ensure this forum is above rumbustious peddling of perceptions and theoretical exchanges. My absence was because I was in nanyuki yesterday but one and yesterday was in naivasha doing my stuff and so far TNA has been quite peaceful in those areas. In Koibatek there is an element of KANU operations there squaring out with either URP or UDF making the competition more vicious.

I saw in the news a CORD loyalist having pre-printed ballot papers, at mombasa shanzu, had rigged a whole "polling station" with his employed returning and presiding officers. Somwhere in Nyanza during cord primaries, the polling was takne to another level, where an CORD aspirant had ferried a whole minivan of thugs with clubs weapons and machetes bows and arrows, an "africanised" version of democratic polls. I am really concerned how the international community will laugh at this, but those are "baby steps".

There was also a liitle violence in TNA primaries I admit. this

He we are talking of fake police commissioners on facebook, fake polling stations, fake degrees aka Bishop Dr.wanjiru lol, fake...fake...fake...Everything in kenya sees to be fake

I think next time IEBC should be involved in making arrangements for such primaries.

Bring on the nxt one...he is winning the Governor of Nairobi...Kidiero hawesimake!

Former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu has won The National Alliance's Nairobi Governor ticket.

Mr Waititu saw off the challenge of Nairobi businessman Jimnah Mbaru in a close contest.

He polled 17,223 votes against Mr Mbaru's 14,029 votes.

Former Nairobi Town Clerk John Gakuo managed 461.

Mr Waititu will now battle it out with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Evans Kidero.

However, TNA said the results showing that Mr Waititu had won were not final and urged party supporters to remain patient.

It said an official announcement would be made "soon".

In a contradiction, the
party's website where results were posted reflected a Waititu victory but it put out a different message on Twitter.

Dr Kidero got the ODM ticket unopposed after his challengers Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Philip Kisia dropped out of the race.

The ODM National Elections Board (NEB) disqualified Bishop Wanjiru after the Commission for University Education (CUE) questioned the former Starehe MP's academic credentials.

The law requires that an aspirant for Governor be a degree holder.

Mr Kisia defected to the Federal Party of Kenya.

In the Senate race, former Makadara MP Mike Mbuvi "Sonko" clinched the TNA ticket in a landslide victory while Rachel Shebesh got the women representative ticket.

Mr Mbuvi garnered 25,656 votes with his nearest challenger Lee Mucheru managing 749 votes.

Ms Shebesh polled 23,300 against Rose Anne Wanjiku's 6,088

Businesswoman Mary Wambui has won the The National Alliance (TNA) Othaya parliamentary ticket after a bruising battle with Othaya Development Authority chairman Gichuki Mugambi.

Ms Wambui polled 13,050 votes against Mr Gichuki's 10,080 in the polls concluded on Saturday morning at 7am.

Others on the ballot were Kamau S. Kinyua, who polled 134 votes and Julius Miitii who managed 123 votes.

The polls were nearly marred by chaos on Friday night and police had to be called in to disperse rowdy voters at Boma polling station.

The TNA supporters were angry they were not allowed to vote after polls closed.

The Othaya contest had attracted public interest after pitting Ms Wambui against the First Family, which was perceived to be backing Mr Gichuki in the battle to succeed President Kibaki as area MP.

By Antony Gitonga

Outgoing Naivasha Mp John Njenga Mututho joined a list of loosing legislator from the tenth parliament after he was beaten in the TNA nominations by John Kihagi.

Mututho better known for his controversial Alcohol control act of 2012 garnered a meager 1,642 votes against Kihagi's impressive 12,329.

Unconfirmed reports indicated that Mututho had already jumped ship for another party long before the counting of the votes in the 39 polling stations started.
On Friday evening Mututho complained bitterly over a move to lock out hundreds of voters mainly flower farm workers from voting after they came after 6pm.

Results of other parliamentary aspirants were; John Waiganjo (4079), Elias Ng'ang'a (4030), Ndegwa Nguthiru (2694) and Stephen Kiguru (340).

Kihagi thanked area residents for giving him a chance to lead the party in the coming general elections terming the work as half done.

"This is a great day for Naivasha but we are halfway there and we should intensify our campaigns so that TNA lifts the seat come March 4th," he said.

The nomination coordinator Reverend Cosmas Kinyanjui praised the voters for persevering despite the many challenges they faced.

"The aspirants and voters were patient and I thank them for their co-operation and for observing peace during the whole exercise," he said.

Hivi tunavozungumza tayari waititu kapitishwa kama mgomeba gavana wa NBI, inatufunza mengi kuhusu siasa za Kenya, politicians are made politicians, but CEOs are made policy makers. Ingawa simkubali waititu for the mere fact ubunge wake is in chaos sembuse akaingia NBI?

Hope KIDERO achukue march 2013 for gavana NBI.

Cord wanampendelea mama Wanjiru lakini hawawezi kumteua for obvious reasons. My bet is that the race will be between Wanjiru and Waititu in the main event and i can bet it will be a bruising one.

Funny thing is that decent ladies and gentlemen have no chance in Nairobi.

Hongera kiswahili chako kina kua...:becky:

Back to politics, Aisee yule mbunge mwenye vituko kama Balotelli apati kitu safari hii...:glasses-nerdy:

Mututho defects to Narc after losing TNA polls

mututho.jpg

Naivasha, Kenya: Former Naivasha MP John Mututho has defected from The National Alliance party to Narc party. Mututho claimed that the returning officer in Naivasha who presided over the nominations is the chairman of bar owners association in Naivasha.

He said that the electoral official had led several demonstrations against him following his position on alcohol control bill.

"I made a conscious decision because the returning officer has led several demonstrations against me. His other officers were also members of bar owners association," Mututho said Narc Kenya headquarters on Saturday.
