Tume ya Taifa ya Uchaguzi (NEC), imetangaza tarehe rasmi ya kufanyika kwa Uchaguzi Mkuu wa Rais, Wabunge na Madiwani ambayo ni Oktoba 28, 2020.

Mwenyekiti wa Tume ya Taifa ya Uchaguzi (NEC), Jaji Mstaafu Semistocles Kaijage.

Taarifa hiyo imetolewa leo Julai 21, 2020, Jijini Dar es Salaam, na Mwenyekiti wa Tume hiyo Jaji Mstaafu Semistocles Kaijage, na kuongeza kuwa kampeni za uchaguzi huo zitaanza rasmi Agosti 26 hadi Oktoba 27.

Mpaka sasa hivi, Chama cha Mapinduzi tayari kimekwishampitisha Mwenyekiti wa chama hicho na Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Dkt John Pombe Magufuli, kuwania Urais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, huku Zanzibar kikimpitisha Dkt Hussein Mwinyi, na kwa upande wa vyama vya upinzani vyenyewe bado havijaweka wazi, watakaokuwa kwenye kinyang'anyiro hicho.
