Surely, Uhuru Kenyatta is the humble, humane and the most astute president found in this part of Africa where the dictatorial and repressive rule are the core policy of various governments.
The people of Kenya arguably enjoy the highest degree of democracy and respect for human rights clearly unmatched by any country in the entire Eastern and Central Africa.
Recently, the Tanzanian government decided to fabricate a fictitious criminal case against the Chairman of the country's main opposition party ostensibly to try to deter the party from mobilizing people to demand the new constitution.
In the neighboring Uganda, the country's long time autocratic ruler Mr. Yoweri Museveni is coercing for the country's rubber stamp parliament to rescind the law that provides for the bailing of the murder and terrorism suspects so as to deny bail to the two opposition members of parliament currently facing the trumped up charges related to murder and terrorism.
In another country Rwanda, neighbouring to both Tanzania and Uganda where Mr. Paul Kagame is lonely running the show, just like Uganda and Tanzania, freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of the media and freedom of association are strictly curtailed and if any, is strictly regulated by the authorities.
Similarly in the neighboring Burundi there is nothing to write home about, incidents of people's disappearances and the extra judicial killings are the order of the day.
In all the three countries, public demonstration to oppose the government is strictly forbidden, and if any, then it must be in support of the regimes and not against.
Judging by what's happening in those countries, truly speaking, Kenya stands as the unrivalled model to them all a plain fact that needs to be supported by the all sound minded people in the continent. Keep it up Kenya.
