Through Omani mediation, an American delegation secretly visited Tehran on Thursday on a private plane that departed from Turkey to Payam Airport in the city of Karaj, west of the Iranian capital.

The delegation conveyed calming messages to the Iranian side, according to a senior source in the Iranian Supreme National Security Council to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, owned by Kuwaiti journalist Muhammad Al-Saqr, which had previously reported a number of news from inside Iran.
