The position of the mother is very much exalted in Islamic tradition.Mwamedi has gone so far as to say:
"Paradise lies underneath the feet of your mothers"

As regards the position of woman as a wife,the saying of Mwamed is categorical:"The best among you is the one who is best towards his familly"

The Qur'an proclaims:
Unto men a fortune from that which they have earned and INTO WOMEN A FORTUNE FROM THAT WHICH THEY HAVE EARNED"(al Qur'an iv:32)

In the economic sphere, woman can earned money and possess property just as man can do.
"Men shall have the benefit of what they earn and WOMEN SHALL HAVE A PORTION OF WHAT THE PARENTS AND THE NEAR RELATIVES LEAVE" (al-Qur'an iv:7).

The mutual relation of husband and wife is described in the Holy Qur'an as that of a single soul in two bodies.
"He it is Who created you from a single being,and of the same did He make his mate,that he might find comforty in her." (al Qur'an vii:189)

The Islamic history witnesses that the care of the children did not prevent women from joining soldiers in the field battle to perform a large number of duties such as the carrying of provisions(Bukhari 56:66),taking care of the sick and wounded(Bukhari 56:68),removing the wounded and the slain from the battlefield or taking part in actual fighting when occation arose and the exigencies of time called for it(Bukhary 56:62)

Polygamy is a subject on which the orientalists are never tired of speaking and they dwell on it in a manner which betrays prejudice and rancour againsty Islam and their deep-rooted hatred towards an otherwise most enlightened and benevolent institution with wich Islam has blessed human society.

J.S.Clear Mcfarlane writes in "The case for Polygamy":
" Whether the question is considered socially,ethically or religiously,it can be demonstrated that polygamy is not contrary to the highest standard of civilisation.....The sugestion offer a practicle remedy for the problem of the destitute and unwanted female; the alternative is continual and incresed prostitution,concubine and distressing spinsterhood.(J.S.Clear MacFarlane,The case for Polygamy,London 1934 pg30)
.In Islam women can seek divorce and tis right of the wife to seek divorce was recognized for the first time in the history of mankind by Islam.

Brother Azarel,Yes it is true but what do u mean exactly by "Islamic States" Do u think every Hussein is a true muslim?By da way there is only one Islamic Republic in the world,Islamic Reoublic of Iran,not Indonesia not Pakistan not even Saud Arabia.
