Former Foreign Minister ,Top Diplomat and retired Senior Spy meets CHADEMA top officials at Dar es Salaam aimed #Election2020 discussion.

The event followed by former Membe (former CCM cadre) who recently returned his Membership Card of the very powerful and influential party in Africa as its roots originate from back to Freedom fighting era.

Sources close to both parties told that CDM want to deploy Bernard Membe due to his popularity as makeshift towards resurrection of the party due to recently internal crisis. The same strategy used 2015 Election to maximize the number of parliamentary seats has been backed by member of the floor, as they face a very stiff competition from President Magufuli who is admired by many in the world.

According to reports CHADEMA Senior figures have made clear that the odds of becoming presidential candidate are against Tundu Lissu and he is too predictable to use 2017 gunshot as @2020Election main strategy to seek public sympathy.

Until late night the members were yet to agree to line up Bernard Membe in 2020 Election due to large divided opinions as many feared not to repeat 2015 blunder Some told Mr. Membe to wait until 2025 but it has been seen so far Membe wont abide any delays.

The meeting Chaired by most influential man in the Party Mr. Freeman Mbowe who has been publicly criticized by outsourcing Former Prime Minister in 2015 Election.

Vice chairmanship of Lisu was because people were not interested because that position in chadema is useless that is why professor Safari decided to resign and dump it!!! Because it is a redundant position!!

We all know better that Prof Safari was voted in as a replacement for Zitto kabwe, to offset claims of "mfumo kristo" and so was Said Arfi.

However now that the party has been able to cement its position as a stable party with grassroots nationwide, Vice Chairman post is no longer a PR stunt its now meant for succession planning.

After a couple of Years eventually Lissu will rise to the highest office in the party. Given the candidates will be in for the primaries, the members will vote for the best candidate and by then you will be suprised with the overwhelming majority support Lissu will get.

Hierarchy despising a member does not imply mere party cadres won't vote you in. Otherwise Magufuli wouldn't be a CCM flag bearer in the last election.

You need a presidential candidate who is potentially able to undercut and send mourning undercurrent gigs into CCM.
A credible party would seriously consider its post 2020 elections going concern stand hinging on

1. the number of votes bagged,
2. the number of seats won,
3. the number of councils won,
4. the amount of guaranteed subventions bagged.

Lissu presidential candidature implies sacrifice to Chadema's post 2020 going concern variables.
it is all about science rather than ideological feelings

Membe couldn't even mount a challenge on January makamba, let alone a gaping margin between him and JPM. What convinces you he can be a force to reckon with this elections relative to Tundu Lissu's political might?

I believe with Lissu, the election campaigns will be explosive as the 2010 era. Membe is too dented and not a threat anymore and lacks a political base.

Membe is not popular in CCM neither opposition, I don't see where he can get his votes from. Let's be realistic here,to CCM; Lissu is more damaging than Membe.

Why don't you call him, and ask him to join UDP, since UDP is an opposition party as well? Then he can implement what you are trying to address in here. Or your science works only in certain political parties?
