Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

Na mbona kumsifia raisi hivi??? Yaani inakaa ni kama kwetu enzi za Moi, Raisi hajajenga kwa pesa zake, ni pesa za watanzania, daaah!! All Tanzanians deserve it, sio kuja kumsifia raisi ni kama amewafanyia msaada!
Mwambie huyu, Watanzania wenzangu ni watu wa kulamba lamba miguu sana.

Kenya Railway students training in China Jiaotong university

bullet train--one day ---oh wait, its actually a high speed simulation module made to look like a real train---wish our universities could be making that kind of investment to make praticals as real as possible

All work with some play

Hapa huwezi muona giza🙂😀

Things are actually heating up on the SGR Kenya, people are starting to appreciate the value for money

This guys with a stop of 20 min at Voi and 20 min Mtito Andei, and they do 4hrs 30 min Nairobi to Mombasa?? It means this trains do speeds above 140Km/hr
SGR Nairobi – Mombasa Test Ride
I am loving the SGR, now a person can snatch a sunday, go to Mombasa and come back to Nairobi in the evening to prepare for Monday at work! I love this, I love this, I love this!!!

One day, very soon tutasafiri kutoka Dar mpaka Nairobi kwa treni ya umeme, kutoka Mombasa mpaka Arusha, mwanza mpaka kisumu.. that day when all East Africa will be connected..

140km/hr inafika....... Maximum ni 158km/hr kwa hiyo diesel

Tukiweka stima by 2020 hapo ndo itakua balaa... Itakua 250km/hr kwenda mbele!!!

Ni ujinga kutumia the writings on the coach instead of the engine power itself as a measure how fast the train can go!
That writing specifies at what speed can the coach be dragged before it overturns!

Hahahaha! Stop your desperation, 120Km/H is the average speed, remember we have the Maximum and 0Km/h speeds on the journey. From the video, the Vlogger said they took 2hrs exactly from Nairobi to Mtito Andei 240Km, Meaning 120Km/h on average, do you know the maximum speed???

This is Kenya, This is how we do!

plus the railtrack itself if allows a train to move at that speed!

Hio yote ulioandika ni ujinga!!!!!

Seriously, hio SGR yenu ikikamilika na wakenya tuanze kuingilia kila kajambo kama vile wewe hufanya kwa hii yetu utasemaje??????? If we did the same thing with your SGR ungekua unalia tuna povu na wivu tele......
Anyway, that part about engine power and even the rail itself is a problem for engineers before the locomotive or rail gets built when everything is still theoretical..... At the stage where Kenya's SGR has reached those things are not the subject anymore...The only one way of measuring how fast the train can go at that stage when everything is already build is by driving the train and accelerating to see how fast it goes...And they don't just write that speed on the coach..... That writing is only put there after the train is tested on the track to the maximum speed.....So that 158km/hr speed was actually achieved during testing....

the rail itself can support speeds of up to 250km/hr, so even if the diesel-electric loco could manage to generate enough power to go past 160km/hr the train would never overturn.. a train can only overturn if the rail is unstable(due to old age or lack of repair) or not build to support that capacity...Remember at the speedometer of our passenger train the red rile starts from 160-200km/hr meaning theoretically the locomotive is built to withdtand speeds of upto 200km/hr after the 200 the engine will be overwhelmed ,brakes might stop working ----->the same thing with a car when you go beyond the speedometer...thats why you start to get warnings when you reach towards the end of speedometre......... endelea kumwaga povu

Safi xana..mzazi wako hakuharibu karo shuleni

nice . Raw horsepower alone does not define any moving machine. I love this discussion, its like the times when americans cant accept that a Su 35 is a superior jet to the F-22 Raptor, even when all the specs point the discussion in that direction and when other experts in the field concur.
