If God knows the future (omniscient), can you change your destiny?

Before asking your question you should specify, which god?

If you are talking about the Judeo Christian godhead, the personal.god who is omnipresent, omniscient, omni benevolent and omnipotent, the answer is I do.not have any reason.to believe in that fiction, because it is logically not consistent.

God had forseen everything before creation. Even the existence of the universal life constant was his idea.

I refuse to see how anything is anyones choice. Not your existence or your lifestyle. Yes, you can choose to fornicate or not but there are painful consequences if you do. Its not really a choice now is it?

Naweza kusema I pee on a known current cure for AIDS, and shit on quacks.

That doesn't mean if there is an actual cure, I will not investigate it's veracity in detail.

Kama argument yako ni kwamba complexity ni lazima iumbwe, then unasema ulimwengu na binadamu ni lazima wameumbwa, argument yako ina matatizo mawili.

Kwanza haituthibitishii kwamba muumbaji ni lazima awe mungu. Inasema tu kwamba complexity ni lazima iumbwe na intelligence. Hii si convincing proof ya existence of god, after all, complexity ya ulimwengu na binadamu inaweza kuumbwa na kitu kingine kikicho intelligence lakini si mungu. Swali lililopo hapa ni kama mungu yupo, na nolitegemea unipe jabari inayoonyesha kwamba complexity haiwezi kutokea bila ya kuumbwa na mungu.

Lakini kuna la pili, na ambalo ni muhimu zaidi.

Tuseme umeweza kutuonyesha kwamba mungu ndiye muumba wa dunia na binadamu na complexity yote. Fine.

Lakini kanuni yako mwenyewe inatuambia complexity haiwezi kutokea tu yenyewe, ni lazima iumbwe na intelligence kubwa zaidi.

Sasa ili mungu kuweza kuumba dunua na watu na complex systems zote zilizopo, ni.lazima.awe very complex.

Na yeye, kwa mujibu wa kanuni yako ya kusema kwamba complexity ni lazima iumbwe, na haiwezi kutokea tu, kwa kuwa huyu mungu naye atakuwa complex, atahitaji kuwa kaumbwa na intelligence kubwa zaidi, na hiyo intelligence nayo itahitaji kuumbwa.na intelligence nyingine kubwa zaidi. Ad infinitum, ad absurdum. Like a set of never ending Matryoshka dolls.

The absurdity does not rest only with the fact that this will create an infinite set of gods, god's gods and gods gods god's. It questions how much of a god is this godhead who has an infinite set of gods who created his gods before him?

Do you see how absurd your position is?

Some time back I was posting on Eiyer's thread about spirits. In the course of our arguments it was agreed that Adam was created in such a way that he needed the fruit of life to live forever. So I asked if He was created perfectly in the first place.....etc. Eiyer said i needed more knowledge and that wasnt the place for it. Maybe he could enlighten me now?? Eiyer

If you are going to apply the laws of logic here, we will have to conclude that that type of God doesnt exist.

Do the Christians here accept that the laws of logic apply to God?

I "believe" in a "relatively" higher power.

It amazes me Kiranga how you are so assertive about the inexistence of an "entity" or "force" that we as scientists just dont know of yet.

There are so many frequencies we cant see or hear. we cant even begin to percieve the 4th dimension yet. Maybe God is in the 4th dimension LOL? What assures you of your 'belief'?
