It means fever is an indication for malaria (and other diseases of course).

My point is that you cannot be tested for malaria without any indication/any symptoms for malaria. In the same wise (back to our topic) you cannot be tested for covid 19 without indication (or for layman's language without symptoms) for covid 19. That was my point! Hence you have tested more because you have more people with covid19 indication! Testing people without indications is unwarranted wastage of resources, which even in the developed countries they dont do that way!

As for the level of my education I leave that for you and the general public to figure out. Hence indications are not data but are symptoms which causes the Doctor to look for data from a certain test in order to confirm whether or not the symptoms are caused by the indicated disease.
