Kenya Election 2007: Outcomes

Kenya Election 2007: Outcomes

Mwanakijiji,

Jamani, someni nilichosema usiweke maneno mdomoni mwangu. Labda nitakusaidia.

a. Hakuna sababu ya msingi ya kwanini Wakenya 600 wameuawa. Nyet!

Why today? Why not the first day? why not when the 30 people were burnt alive in Eldoret? why today?

d. Of course Raila anapewa "pass" kwa sababu "Police na wenyewe wameua au wanafanya mauaji" as if two wrongs make it right! If you get over your support for Raila you'll see that Raila by his omission helped the fanning of tribal hatred in Kenya that has resulted into over 600 people dying! I'm trying to help you see that but if you can't I'm sorry I can't do it better. Time will tell and will vindicate my position.

It is for this that I do not believe that Raila qualifies for the Presidency of Kenya vile vile kama Kibaki asivyostahili. Hawa wawili hawawezi kuleta amani Kenya. Mark my words. Kama Raila atapata Urais wa Kenya there will be more bloodshed that we have witnessed. Whoever think that if Raila become a president then damu itakoma.. is being politically naive.. just think and you'll see this..

it takes 2 to tangle it.

nntegemea kaka yangu mkjj utazipokea nasaha zangu

I have not had the intention to comment on the conversations i see here but I cannot hold it any more. I am deeply distressed to see young, progressive Kenyans degenerate to this.

I am a Kenyan, irrespective of where I come from and who I support. Kenya has come a long way from a one party dictatorship, to a multi-party democracy, which many paid for with their lives, it is not perfect and the turn of events is evident, but Kenyans who believe in the true spirit of democracy, freedom and prosperity, know that you make a difference by contributing positively.

In a civilised state like the one we have been striving to build, one of the fundamental freedoms is freedom to expression, so you have a right to your opinion and i respect that, but so is freedom of association. to the extent that your freedom, impinges on others' freedom, that is in the least described as barbarism. Robert, I do not know whether you have had the chance to visit any of our neighbours who have been at war, war is UGLY, that is all i can say in a nutshell, it disenfranchises, and takes a people many many miles back irrespective of where or who they are. KRA today is losing millions per day in revenue loss because of what is happening. it is not the luo or kikuyu who will suffer from this. It is all Kenyans. Innocent people are losing their lives, they may have never even had anything to do with politics in their lives, they probably never even voted in the first place, but they are being massacred for a mistake not of their own doing, an act of God, who wrote an email and said they wanted to be born Kikuyu of Luo??? don't we just find ourselves what we are today??? However our responses, our attitudes, our predjudices all are our choice. We choose what we want to believe, we choose how we want to respond, and we choose whom we want to associate with.

I am sure there are people on this forum, who are Kikuyus, but jobless, has having kibaki as president made a difference in their individual lives? and there are luos who have jobs.. Before you open your mouth to utter all the giberrish ask yourself, who is the enemy? is the enemy your neighbour, who is a kikuyu, is it the shopkeeper, who has ensured that you could get a packet of milk next to your house, is it fellow wanakaziafrica with whom you have worked so diligently together in one common purpose to deal with the unemployment in Kenya today???? any thinking mind reflects. The young Kenyan minds who can strategise cannot be thinking of political solutions similar to the mostly illetrate class during the medieval times in Europe. As Kenyans slaughter each other in all the skirmishes, the victims are so misplaced, they are mostly the innocent, the poor, the weak, the children, voiceless. Never the political elite, the big wigs. So Alai, who is the enemy???/

In conclusion, I do not lose hope despite the dismal talk flying through these mails. i believe that there is an uhuru generation, who can think for the future, who want a better Kenya, not just sycophancy, who believe in making a difference, not destroying the foundation, but building on it step by step and erecting a monument of peace, prosperity and justice. As the world is moving more and more into integration, we recognise our diversity, we shouldn't use that to destroy ourselves. a country of luos only or kukuyus only is unviable, we need each other because each one of us has a special thing to contribute to the great nation Kenya. Each of us has a special substance in us, and each of us is unique. In killing each other we deny Kenya the priviledge of benefitting from that gift 'YOU' and 'ME' whoever those pronouns refer to.

Kenya as you said is bigger than kazi africa and i add Kenya is bigger than our prejudices and our short sightedness. Kenya will be stable and strong, and will continue to prosper step by step. God bless Kenya. Haki iwe ngao na ulinzi. natukae na undugu amani na uhuru raha tupate na ustawi. My prayer for Kenya and my prayer for all of us.

I have copied many other people on this email and I request that we pass the message on as far as possible, a journey of a thousand miles is accomplished a step at a time. We should say no to anarchy, strife and violence, Kenya can come above all this, because i believe in the people of Kenya, they are a people with a vision for a better tomorrow.

Happy New Year!!!!

They have spoken...may be you did not hear them

Someone rightly mentioned Mutahi Ngunyi. His recommendations were very sober to me... thie echoed these words " either of the two has to be big enough to concede and see that Kenya is bigger than the presidency"

Pius Muiru spoke and cast apsertions to the results...and called for a run-off and or re-tallying of the votes.

former Juja MP Kabogo did the same...

Cardinal Njuue has spoken and done the same...

Maina Kiai of KHRC has vehemnetly voiced his views...

They that are suffering in all corners of the country have done so too...

I dare add my voice to that list.

The Wako option is a very viable solution: A transitional coalition Govt that leads to fresh presidential polls.

Read todays Daily Nation and there in find a "right thinking" Kenyan in the person of Joel M Ngugi.

The moment you analyse the situation with tribal spectacles on you are bound to err.

What every one agrees on is that there is an error and that there needs to a solution put in place.

My take is that seen that mediators have already been selected to ensure fair arbitration, all there needs is political will from both sides to work it out reasonably upholding the rule of law.

ECK and all Commisioners have alot to answer for and why they refused the Electronic system for tallying seen that funds had been availed. not tot mention many irregularities as observed by EU Election Observer Mission

All these and many questions can only be done when political temperatures have calmed down.

In the heat of anger no wise decision is ever made, I can attest to that in my short few years I have been alive. one needs to have the anger and let the anger have them.

I call for calm and sobreity and most of all

Justice for All Kenyans!

I thought I read ealier from you discribing Kibaki as a gentleman. What happened do your gentleman. We are calling on both of them yes but we need not do that. We need to cal on Kibaki. It is not Raila it is the people it is justice and peace here we are dealing with.

You know what, what we need was to see if Kibaki really deserves to be a leader, The very thought of ECK statmenets and that of Kivuitu open confession should have made him stand as a leader and say hey guys there is something here and we need to fix it, I cant be a president if ECK things I am not and the observers say it was done to my favour, nothing stops him from that other that his greed for power. Did he do that never, instead even after all the bodies questioned the electral proces the guy goes a head to say Election was free and fair, those who have an issue go to court compromised already by his cronnies otherwise I will deal with them "TOTAKUTANA NA WAO".

Ever since the trouble begun, he bunned everything and anly Raila has been to visit the injured, Ruto was in rift vally to help when the police failed, Raila was in Kibera, Where is Kibaki? In State house. The guardian Newspaper in UK reported that Kibakis decission to get back to power was done by "Kikuyu" harliners who had made there mind never to allow Raila get to power.

Now when Kibaki Supporters can see the evil in Kibaki some of the guys now say they don't want both of them, Really no they just dont want Raila. Kibaki will not seek another team but who knows with his mashal law the guy can want to be in power for life.

People are getting agrya by the day and Listining to Kimunya, Karua, Mutua and Kibwana just angers people. This people pushed off Tuju, Awuori, Kibwana, Kombo yet those are the people who still stand to talk and adress them and the international press on our behalf. Shurely how can we be presented by rejects.

Kibaki is proud and the fear of being sent home by Raila was too sameful for him to bear, so he did everything and even if the country is falling apart he does not care. He just want power and if you play with me I will kill you by the police. If anyone is praying for peace they must pray for him to get out, there will be no peace if he remains in power, what we will have is a retreate for violence and we shall be brooding something Kenyans will not want to see, so we must eliminate that now and so prayer for peace must include Kibaki's power hungry nature to go and he retires and the rightful presidential allect is installed otherwise we are lying to ourselves.

Where are the brave,
Once I had he guts to take part in violent demonstrations. I was very active during the late 80's and 90's.I very ʽactivelyʼ engaged the police in fights over multi partism and later land clashes even though members of my community were least affected and given my poverty status,I had little to loose.I still have little to loose

I remember marching from Kenyatta University towards Kahawa Barracks,I was ready to fight the Army armed with stones, over the death of kikuyus in Molo and Enosopukia. After a few hours of running battles, the forces ran out of tear gas canisters and bullets. We went over to talk to them. The commandant was a Kikuyu who told me he had lost relatives in Molo. How professional our forces are even to this very day.But when you lose loved ones the situation can change.

The question I kept asking was WHERE WERE THE KIKUYUS????not many kikuyus take part in such ventures.I Remember some of my stone throwing buddies throwing stones that shattered police shields and even killed a police horse in the name of helping our kikuyu friends. Trust me luos were never affected by land clashes. Most of thos on my side our be Kisii's, Luhyas etc.

Afew years later, after we got tired of locals from a village next to KU, (KM) stealing our stuff at KU, WE ENGAGED THEM IN A 3 DAY BATTLE.Please note that they had the police on their side. Its interesting that on one night, just 3 of us,a tall friend of mine, beat up anybody we could find while walking back from a drinking spree in that village. Infact this close friend of mine should have been expelled from University but God had mercy. If it wasnʼt for a few friends including our church leader who was Kikuyu,I think I would have gone back to my old ways.

I was then a tout in Dandora and everytime I faced up to the so called Mungiki back then, I prevailed. Where are the BRAVE?

The truth is, when push comes to shove, these guys need our protection. They live all over Kenya, nobody lives or does business in Kikuyu land. But those within our areas, need our protection. Trust me Kibaki wont help. He doesnʼt keep his promises, not to Mungiki, Narc Kenya not even with his own Party DP. Kikuyus need our protection, they have always done since the death of the brave Mau Mau.

Lets pray for them because even within the forces there are very many Kales who have a very bad temper. If the Govt should retaliate in Kale land, then thatʼs the end of Kenya.Again I say, I my poverty,I have little to loose.

Lastly,to all you cowards that stay at home when the poor take to the streets to fight, shame on you.I wish I was around. We will continue having a colonial internal security minister who doesnʼt care when Kikuyus kill kikuyus in the name of Mungiki, we have Anglo leasing to stay, a first lady who slaps at will and a host of other corruption incidences. A finance Minister who thinks Raila only understands the fish market.A thankless president who preaches peace but calls us Mavi ya kuku.

Prayer does not substitute duty.If I need bread, give it to me,no use praying for me.We are duty bound to ask plead and beg members of our communities to stop killing the innocent not prayers.God wont listen.

Shame on all of us but remember, five years is a short time.

Dear Friends,

It definitely saddens my heart to see how the decay in our motherland Africa appears to be spreading from one country to the other within our dear continent. Crass poverty continues to ravage the people, while our political elites continue to misdirect us and bring us more and more problems than solutions to our challenges. When would Africa get the issue of her elections right?

The situation witnessed in Kenya within these past few days has been highly pathetic. The gory images and video footages we've seen via the western media generates very sad emotions reflecting centrally on man's inhumanity to man. Why should a peaceful country such as Kenya be allowed to degenerate into a den of murderers, destroyers, and looters? Why should people become so crazy and frustrated to the point of picking up matchets to maim their fellow brothers and sisters?

why should anyone in a right frame of mind burn down what has taken another years of sweat and toil to build? why should any sensible person destroy another's meager means of livelihood because he or she of from a different tribe or ethnic divide?

It's so sad...Kenya and Kenyans have been raped by its political class. One wonders if Mwai Kibaki or Raila Odinga would be glad to see there children and family members lay dead on the streets of Eldoret or jubilate over their personal properties being raised down by fire to shambles. Where then does their leadership lie? Yet the helpless, poor and downtrodden in our societies are continually being "hoodwinked" to going out on the streets to fight for their ever "elusive" human rights, when the families of those calling for these actions are either residing safely in their fortresses or living overseas.

Can there be fight for human right without peace, stability, love for one another and unity? Nah, this is no longer a fight for rights nor is it a political tussle, but a shameless egoistic battle by two so called leaders who inter alia ate from the same pot.
When two elephants fight, the grasses they say suffer and in this case over 300 dead citizen, hundreds of believed families and thousands of displaced persons have become unfortunate grasses to fuel the egos of two men who are mere mortals like us all. We see evidence of this fact as the political elite trade strong words and phrases like terrorism, genocide, massacre, holocaust and ethnic cleansing in an attempt to point fingers at each other.

It is a big shame that bad blood, bitterness and anger have been allowed to ravage a great African nation.

But the crucial question at this point in time is where do we go from here? Do we maintain a siddon-look attitude and allow evil rule sway over a richly blessed country like Kenya, or do we stand up to our common devils and allow peace, love, unity and justice to prevail? It is high time right-minded, forward-looking and positive-thinking Kenyans took the future of the country in their hands by resisting every attempt by the political class to ridicule the masses and draw lines division, where the Luos have been made to See the Kikuyus as their greatest enemies and vice versa.

We are in search of patriots who would stand up for Kenya and shun all forms of ethnic and tribal canker worms and caterpillars that have eaten deep into the fabrics of the country and drawn centrifugal lines that have caused more harm than good, and succeeded in tearing the people apart than unite them together.

There is need to work together for peace, unity and progress in Kenya, be you Kikuyu, Luo, Luhya and so on. There should be urgent considerations towards healing the sores of bereaved families, rebuilding the lives of citizens who have lost their shelters and means of livelihood, and those who need help to piece their lives back again. Kenyans need each other to make Kenya work and should set their eyes on the Kenyan dream. Let's not forget that the perfect Kenya is all Kenyans joined together. God bless Kenya, God bless Africa. May the new year bring peace, unity and prosperity to us all.

Robert writes:

Ndumg'u Wainaina has captured what ails Kenya so aptly in his analysis in The Standard of today. I can only stretch it further and bring in the views of some friends yesterday.

What captured my attention was that these were Kikuyu friends, and as we shared over coffee, they summarized what Kibaki has done as The Big Betrayal, and an onset of Dictatorship.

They were so candid in their analysis, and their resolve was one; the people must not relent. Kibaki must be overwhelmed by the people of Kenya, for which they are also part of.

This brought the myth that this is a struggle between the Kikuyu and the Luo to zero. Kikuyus are part of this struggle as all Kenyans are.

They reminded me of an African saying, 'Never pick a fight with an ugly person, he has nothing to loose'. This saying reflects on the sad scenario currently obtaining in Kenya.

In 1963, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga refused the offer of the Presidency on account that Kenyatta was in prison, and Kenya could not be free unless he was released. Upon being released, he formed government with Odinga as his Vice President.

The honey moon lasted only three years, and ways were created for which Odinga could be harassed and hounded out of office. This was finally achieved in 1966, when in the Limuru Conference, an idea was mooted for the creation of regional Vice Presidents. This was the first post Independence Betrayal.

The second Betrayal came when Kenyatta went to Kisumu in 1969 to officiate in the official commissioning of Russia Hospital. Slight agitations led to the Kisumu massacre where the presidential guards opened fire on defenseless Luos, killing many of our people.

Thereafter, Odinga was detained and his political involvement in Kenya, kind of banned.

These acts of Betrayal would continue into the Kibaki presidency. In 2002, the Hon Raila Odinga, to the chagrin of everyone, endorsed Kibaki vide the famous Kibaki Tosha call at Uhuru Park on 14th October. Thereafter, all fell into place and Kibaki was on a roller coaster to the presidency which had eluded him twice in 1992, and again in 1997.

He would later roll in his Range Rover in Machakos from a campaign trail, and Raila would take charge of his evacuation to Nairobi Hospital and later to London. Raila would then rally the country to the Narc cause by declaring that the captained has been injured, but the game goes on.

He would traverse the whole country rallying the troops to ensure Kibaki won.

When Kibaki could not afford to pay his airfare to London, opting to travel economy, Raila would step in again and pay for his first class cabin transport to Londaon for specialized treatment.

Raila was later feted and called Njamba by our brothers and sisters in Central Province in recognition of his efforts in making their son be the president of Kenya, a feet Kibaki had tried twice to achieve and failed.

Immediately Kibaki set foot at State House, his first act of Betrayal was to discard the MOU. We now saw people whom we had not heard of in the campaigns taking charge, and telling us so sarcastically that the constitution was more supreme to the MOU, as if we did not know of the existence of the constitution as we signed the MOU.

Later, as Minister for Roads, Public Works and Housing, Raila would be denied funds to build the Kenyan roads, even after clearing the by-passes. Acts of Betrayal would continue. The game plan was to put Raila at logger heads with people whose houses had been demolished yet no roads were forthcoming.

Acts of Betrayal would continue when Raila as the Minister in charge of Housing negotiated with the Dominion Groups for the construction of 150 000 low cost housing units across Kenya per year. The Dominion Group needed only a tax holiday for them to undertake their work. They were denied, yet, Njeru Ndwiga, was promptly given a tax holiday for his farm. Acts of Betrayal.

Soon, the docket of Housing would be removed from Raila's ministry and given to Amos Kimunya, a safe hand.

Acts of Betrayal would continue when John Michuki, he of the liver juggling fame would say that now that 'one of our own' had become president, there was no more need for reforms. This is when all machinations were put in place to ensure that power in Kenya will not again leave the house of 'one of our own'.

And this formed the basis of the current situation. But lets revert to this later.

From then, it would be suspicion all through, culminating in the infamous Wako Draft of 2005, where Kenyans were being called upon to officially sanction the return to one party state and dictatorship at the Referendum. We saw through the trick and Raila galvanized all Kenya to reject the Draft.

Their game plan was temporarily halted. They had to recoup and think of how to forever retain the presidency with 'one of our own'. Raila and team were promptly thrown out of a government that they had put in place. Home guards and people who did not fight for the democratic space were put in government. And an attempt at complete subjugation was put in place. Acts of Betrayal.

The BIG BETRAYAL would come on December 27th. Kenyans were called to vote in their prefered president. But unknown to them, the forces of status quo had long decided that Kibaki was not going to leave the presidency at whatever cost.

When Raila was enjoying a massive lead, things changed, and all of a sudden, without any evidence, Kibaki closed the 1.2 million gap that Raila had opened, and went further to be pronounce the winner. Kivuitu was promptly driven at top speed to State House to find guests already seated waiting for the swearing in of Kibaki.

Acts of Betrayal could continue when the police would be called in to maintain the palace coup.

When Kibaki came out to address the country on 3rd January, acts of Betrayal continued. The man said he was for peace, and that he would deal very ruthlessly with any dissent. He gave the press the impression that he knew he had organised a palace coup, and that he would now rule Kenyans by force.

Contast this to 2002 when we all danced and jammed Uhuru Park during the handing over ceremony.

Acts of Betrayals became complete when he comfortably installed himself the president ki mabavu.

We all hence felt vindicated when KTN in their Prime Time News asked Kenyans whether they would want Raila to participate in any coalition government with Kibaki, and the overwhelming results were 88% saying NO.

To this extent, and in line with that African saying, Kibaki has nothing to loose in the unfolding democratic dispensation. For him the Mugumo tree is too big for the razor blade.

Thats what we kenyans need to do, repent Repent nothing else. The bible is very clear in 2Chronicles 7:14 "if my people (kenyans), who are called by my name, will humble themselves & pray & seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will i hear from heaven & will forgive their sin and will heal their land (kenya).

Our only hope is in Christ to save our land. The whole world saw kenya as a peaceful country & alot of good things said about our that kenyans decided to go to their comfort zone & not pray especially the christians.

Before the elections, many prayers were made but directed to a certain community. You find a kamba preacher prophesying kalonzo for president, kikuyu preacher prophesying kibak for president & luo preacher prophesying raila for president. Selfish

God help kenya and forgive us.

I am also a Christian and am currently in the UK. Before I left Kenya last year it was already obvious that the Church in Kenya was polarized, and various churches had taken sides on whom they wanted to support. The Referendum had left people divided. In my church, our Pastor was very clear that everyone has a constitutional right to vote for whichever candidate they wanted. However, he was very clear that the pulpit would not be used to preach politics and to air personal views about politics. That worked well in our church and even now after all that has happened our church could gather together and pray as one body, as I am sure some other churches are also able to.

However, as the Corporate Body of Christ in Kenya we failed God as many of us sought Him with our prefered candidates in mind ....am not sure how many people sincerely prayed "Lord let your will be done in our country!"
Because we took sides as the Body of Christ, the Church in Kenya has lost the moral and spiritual authority to speak out to Kenyans! Perhaps the silence from the Church is a reflection of the fact that we have lost the spiritual authority to reach out. Like you I am yet to hear the Church leaders come out and speak as one, condemning any violence and injustice that is going on in our country. Churches have been burnt down because people no longer have fear of that which was once regarded sacred. There has been sacrilege right in front of our eyes as people are burnt in a church!......where have we gone wrong?? What happened to our politicians who proclaim that they are saved?? Why have they not spoken out.....I was disappointed that even some of them participated in pressurizing Kivuitu to announce results that they knew were doubtful....where have we gone wrong???

Let us not ask God where we have gone wrong .... just get on your knees and face God in true repentance and He will surely answer!

But I will encourage you that God says He is not mocked .... whatever a man sows, that will he reap. Even as we speak now some people who in the past have severely wronged Kenyans are beginning to pay. God responds to the voice of the oppressed and to innocent blood that has been shed.

Let us first repent, pray for peace (so that people stop butchering each other as we are seeing on news here!) pray for and demand justice (this is where the church needs to come up with a consolidated position and speak in one voice that any voting irregularities - which mind you have been repoted to be on both sides- should be addressed and the rightful person be declared the President) so that as justice becomes our shield and defender, we will dwell in unity, peace and liberty. A Christian is first spiritual, then practical.

I know many of us are feeling angry, betrayed, frustrated and wishing we had a gun to shot down some of our politicians but vengeance is mine says God. Some of you have even expressed that you have lost loved ones ... I pass my condolences, may God heal you and avenge for you. To all of you, I say Happy New 2008! Let us arise and remain strong .... evil never triumphs over good in the long run.

Blessings,

I would like to bring to your attention that this is not a war between the
Kikuyu and Luo. Your email below saddens me. Luos are not in Coast,
Western, the Rift Valley just to name a few regions where Kikuyus are being
targeted. By focusing on the Luo, it shows that the Kikuyu actually have
issues with the Luo. Maybe because the opposition is led by Raila? But
don't be myopic in your view. Wake up and realize that the Kikuyu are being
targeted by all tribes.

The only person who can heal this situation is Kibaki. He knows what to do.

It will not help the situation when people like you reduce this issue to a
Luo-Kikuyu war. It is Kikuyu against all (apart from the GEMA community)
the other tribes in Kenya.

Robert responds:

Kenyans

I dont care what Kibaki supporters think of me. I have a very thick skin and able to handle all the insults. The fact is Kibaki is a killer and must be elimiated.

Paul responds too:
Dear Betty,

I have read your mail along with others in this forum. I share your sentiments and believe the majority of Kenyans feel the same. It is however important to recognize the fact that ____________as Kenyans, we still have so much influence of what happens in our country in the hands of a minority tribe known as "POLITICAL LEADERS". I use the word Political Leaders very loosely because I am not sure I would accord many of them Leadership title..........may be rulers would be more fitting.

Kenya has come along way as you have rightly pointed out and that road of LIBERATION has been rocky, uphill and the trail is soaked with blood and wreaths. To contrast what we hoped to achieve by such massive sacrifices and what we are seeing today is deeply heartbreaking. This should tell every Kenyan one thing, that not every word that the politicians utter during their vote hunting exercise is genuine. We need to look back how consistence these politicians have been on the LIBERATION AGENDA. I have no personal hatred towards kibaki but I don't trust him. He was in the government at post independent where Kenyans fought for Nationalism and when Kenyatta assumed the office he (Kenyatta) started abusing the ideals which Kenyans who made sure that he earned his freedom from Kapenguria held close to their hearts. He faced opposition and from the records Kibaki was never one of the dissenting voices. He was a loyal minister very much part of that regime.

When Kenyatta passed away due to old age, Kibaki was in Moi's regime and very much part of that system until section 2A was repealed to usher in multiparty, then he resigned from the government to form his own opposition party. He never saw the Kenyan Liberation process the same way reformers did. He risked nothing in his political life for the good of the people. He always defended status quo. When Kibaki became the President his qualities as a tribal chauvinist came to the fore and he has no regrets about it. His behavior now is that of an ardent dictator. The country is falling apart and he knows it but he is so worried about his ego that he will go to any length to stay in the state house! Some of Kibaki's political allies are not supporting him because they believe in him, but they are scheming for 2012 so do many opposition politicians All these intrigues are taking place at the expense of our own peace and security. They don't seem to care much!!!

With that background Kibaki has always played the psychology of Kenyans. In-fact when Kibaki calls people wapumbavu, he means it because he believes Kenyans are stupid and he can always lie to them and they will follow. Even Moi behaved in a more decent way when handing over office to Kibaki even in the face of naked public humiliation. Kibaki brandishes the attitude of uta ni peleka wapi????

With all that background I kindly appeal to all sober minded Kenyans not to sit back but act and find a solution to our political problem. We cannot pretend that things will take their own natural courses because they won't. There needs to be a grooming forum for a new breed of politicians with a focus to a more developed and united Kenya, void of anarchists we are witnessing today. The problem is very deep in our society and if not checked will get worse. One sure way of making this situation worse is by us sitting down and praying for peace under the leadership of people who do not appreciate civilized peace. We needed to act yesterday. I have been part of change movements everywhere I go....... I was back home -------------------and I still am where I am now and I believe many Kenyans are. We can do it if we organize ourselves. Help is also available we just need to look for it but we must want the change and act that way with passion and civility.

PEACE, PEACE, PEACE, OH YES WE ALL NEED IT.

Does shouting peace bring peace i have not heart one person look at the root cause of the arnachy, hum without puting our acts right and all come out clean there is no peace, alot is going on underground to fuel the riots by the government. The riots are exagerated to make the oppossition look bad and for people to blame the opposition. Mungiki is now in the mix to teach the stupid Luos a lesson, huumm (supported by the Government. by the way i am not PNU nor ODM, i never vote because for me it makes no difference i am glad i did not vote i would be feeling bad now.

We need to pray and act right prayers alone will not bring peace.

All parties need to be fair and just, and PNU need to agree that the polls were rigged flawed

Sorry Kenyans,
Every time I watch or read news from Kenya, I feel like crying. But being a man raised in African setting, I make sure my face does not get wet. Poleni sana ndugu zangu.

I feel so bad when some people are against Robert while there are more than 600 people dead http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7176181.stm. Unless you give me evidence that what we see on the TVs is not true, Kivuiyu was not pressurised, and there was no rigging at all. Well, I am not politician, what I can say now is just to call all Kenyans to make right decisions regardless of the tribe one is coming from.

I pray that God rein in your hearts and that kaziafrica member become source of peace in one way or another. May you walk in the path that God has ordained you to walk therein.

Mwanakijiji,

Hilo pekee inabidi likuumize kichwa, how do you handle such people? Ni kazi ngumu sana kuwatuliza watu waliokata tamaa au waliochoshwa na utawala fulani and they are ready for anything!

The only way ilikuwa ni kuwa-dispatch ma-luteni wake warudi kutuliza watu waliokuwa wakifanya fujo.

Kateua mawaziri 17. Mbona huyu jamaa kichwa maji hivyo?

Mkjj:
