Largest African Economies 2017, IMF

Last year you said you'll beat Kenya in 2017. Leo hii unasema 2018 next year utasema 2019. Tulishawazoea nyie.
Nooo tunaenda by that IMF report ambayo ndo mleta mada ameinukuu.
Kwenye GDP nominal sawa figures ndo kama alivyoorodhesha mleta mada
Lakini kwenye GDP PPP tumewapita.
Naomba wataalam wanielezee PPP na nominal which is more important kwenye kupima nguvu ya nchi kiuchumi?

Good.... Walk it.South Africa is losing it..... Wah..... And the kind of comical leadership down there.... mmmh

Hajasema lingine lolote. Kama wewe wataka kuongelea GDP per capita anzisha uzi mpya. Wengine wenu hunshangaza. Ni kama munatumia uji badala ya ubongo vile.

Vipimo vyao Viki sawa kweli ? Wametumia method gani.ina maana Angola iko poa kuliko Tz ? Au wametumia pato la mtu mmoja mmoja. Au wameangalia mauzo .ambayo wafaidika ni watu wachche mno.

jambo la kusikitisha ni kuwa wakenya wanakufa njaa kule turkana ilhali mto Nile inatoka hapa hapa East Africa....Ethiopians are building electric trains and mega dams with water from River Nile while Kenyans starve....yaani inafaa hizo treaty za Lake Victoria zivunjwe....if Kenya TZ and UG cant enjoy Lake Victoria, then Ethiopia and Egypt mustn't...
Kweli kabisa hizi treaty kama hazitisaidii wana afrika mashiriki ni bora zifanyiwe marekembisho wote tufaidi mto Nile.

Kenya is not our benchmark but our strategic plan and goals.

Yes we are not your benchmark, everybody knows that, but you do use us as your only benchmark yet the gap is widening, check the link shared by NairobiWalker. One thing that majority of Tanzanians fails to understand, Kenya's economy is one of the most diversified and can withstand any shocks. We have the most robust, dynamic and productive human resource.

There was a certain period I worked in Bongo, we were four, two Tanzanians and two Kenyans, working together in the same project office and living in the same apartment but a room for each one. We had opted to live together during the lifetime of the project instead of each renting a hotel room, this served us well as we were able to collaborate till late in the night.

But one thing was for sure, anyone could see and feel it, that Kenyans are a different species as far as work ethics, commitment and discipline are concerned. Bongos would retire early to bed and leave us pulling all nighter jobs with so much energy and gusto. The project was dragging behind schedule, so every effort had to be made to ensure every second, minute, hour was put to good use, productivity, efficacy and efficiency and ensuring strict timelines and adhering to milestones and deliverable were our only motivation.

We pulled it off successfully and boarded KQ with so much pride while playing Nameless 'Narudi nyumbani' with our bank accounts reading a few zeroes more.

The whole issue is about economic growth and economic development. These are two different things.economic growth is the increase in the countries productivity witnessed by continue rise in national income over a period of time say a year. While economic change is the quantitative change in the national income indicated by structural changes and improvement of individual and individual as a whole.sm indicators of structural changes are like shift from tourism to manufacturing, reduction in illiteracy level, improved health facility, increase in enterprenural ability, increase in institutions that handle new methods of productive economic activities. A country can be experiencing economic growth without experiencing economic development when put against yad stick of measuring economic development say GDP or PPP and this explain s the difference in GDP btw Kenya and Tz.while Tanzania is growing, its development is slower.I know critics will crusify me bt this is the truth.am an economist
