Michael Edwards confirmed as FSG CEO of Football. Will succeed Mike Gordon as the decision-maker on all football matters. Remit includes helping to identify and subsequently manage a second club to attract global talent. Will resign from Ludonautics on June 1.
Michael Edwards: "One of the biggest factors in my decision is the commitment to acquire and oversee an additional club, growing this area of FSG's organisation. I believe that to remain competitive, investment and expansion of the current football portfolio is necessary."
Michael Edwards named FSG CEO of football. Resigns from Ludonautics June 1 + replaces Mike Gordon in charge of Liverpool. Will appoint SD (Hughes) to recruit Klopp successor & help identify/manage a 2nd club. Turned down #CFC + #MUFC @TheAthleticFC #LFC

Kerkez was wanted by some big clubs including #LFC, Benfica and Lazio.
Yet Hughes managed to convince him to join Bournemouth.
Now Kerkez is on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester United after a brilliant debut season in the Premier League so far.
That deal is yet more proof of Hughes’ ability as a sporting director.
He also signed the likes of Nathan Ake, Aaron Ramsdale, Dominic Solanke, Callum Wilson, Tyrone Mings and Ilya Zabarnyi
