Makosa ndani ya Makala ya Mama Maria Nyerere Kutimiza Miaka 93

Kujisifu na kusifiwa ni vitu viwili tofauti. Kuulizwa maswali na mtafiti ni jambo la kawaida. Wewe ukitembelewa na msomi basi unaamini mara moja kuwa ni kwa sababu wewe ni authority pekee katika field yako. Watafiti makini huwa wanakuwa na sources nyingi na sio kila source wanaitumia au kuikubali.
Mimi ungesema umetafiti sana kuhusu mgogoro wa tawi la EAMWS lililokuwa Tanzania ningekuelewa ingawa nisingekubaliana nawe.
Ytafiti wowote unaegemea upande mmoja ndio maana unakuwa kama si utafiti bali ni simulizi. Ndio maana una kawaida ya kucherry pick na ku insinuate mambo bila kutoa ushahidi kamili ili tu kujenga hoja yako ya kupigania dini yako. Mfano ni duka la Mama Nyerere. Mtafiti makini yeyote angehoji uwezekano mama Maria kutegemea uuzaji wa mafuta ya taa peke yake. Wewe badala ya kuangalia ile picha kama mtafiti uliiangalia Kama ushahidi wa simulizi za wazee wako. Huo sio utafiti.
Ukibanwa unasema ulisoma nyaraka zilizoandikwa na hao unaowaita ndugu zako. Hauwezi kuzungumzia historia ya EAMWS bila kuwazungumzia mabohora, makhoja na maahmaddiya hata kama haukubaliani na imani yao.

With Islam, emerged the lingua franca, Kiswahili, spoken throughout East and Central Africa and the Swahili culture which is mostly associated with Muslims. About two-thirds of East Africa’s Muslims reside in Tanzania which is the most populous of the East African countries i.e. Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. According to the 1957 population census, Muslims outnumbered Christians at a ratio of three to two. This means Tanzania is a leading Muslim nation in the region. But the 1967 census the total figures for Tanzania Mainland are 32% Christian, 30% Muslim and 37% local belief. This shows Pagans as a leading majority. The 1967 census has not been able to show the reasons for the sudden decrease of Muslim population nor the growth of Paganism. This was the last population census showing religious distribution. It is widely believed that the figures for the 1967 census were doctored for political reasons to show Muslims were trailing behind Christians in numerical strength. This paper "lnsha Allah", will try to show the reasons behind such a move and many others.

Christianity is a relatively new religion in Tanzania having introduced into the country during the 18th Century by professional missionaries. Christianity was resisted by Muslims right from the beginning. In any uprising against the colonial state Muslims took that opportunity to attack missionaries and Christian establishments. Muslims perceived both missionaries and the colonial state as fellow collaborators and therefore enemies to Islam. Islamic radicalism has therefore a long history in the struggle against colonial rule and Christianity. Christianity meanwhile became a reactionary force siding with the colonial state. In the Maji Maji War of 1905 some Christians fought alongside the German army against the people to safeguard Christianity. In this war some Muslims were hanged particularly for killing missionaries and for waging a war against German rule."

Sykes, Kleist (1894–1949),​

labor union organizer and anticolonial figure in Tanganyika (present-day Tanzania), was born in Pangani, Tanganyika, then an important German military camp. His father, Sykes Mbuwane, was part of a Zulu mercenary force that had been recruited by the German military forces to quell resistance to German authority and restore order in Tanganyika. At about the time his son was born he died crossing the Ruaha River while returning from a campaign against Chief Mkwawa.

Ndugu yangu Mohamed,

Picha ninayoipata ni kuwa kuna watu waliamua kupindisha historia wakiamini kuwa wangemfurahisha Nyerere kwa kumpa baadhi ya sifa ambazo hazikuwa zake.

Sababu zinazonisukuma kuamini hivyo ni hizi mbili:

- Hadi wakati anastaafu, bado watu wengi walioshuhudia maisha yake baada ya kuacha ualimu Pugu walikuwepo hai. Asingekuwa mpumbavu kuukana ukarimu wa familia ya Sykes huku akijua mashuhuda wa ukarimu huo wapo hai wengi.

Lakini pia katika hutuba yake ya kuagana na wazee wa Dar 1985, alieleza kwa ufasaha jinsi wenyeji wa Dar (moslems in particular) walivyochangia katika harakati za uhuru. Alikwenda mbali akaeleza mpaka baadhi ya matambiko waliyofanya wazee wa kiislamu akiwa peke yake wa imani tofauti.

- Na hili la kuweka historia sawa, nakumbuka wakati wa kukabidhiwa nyumba aliyojengewa na jeshi aliongelea kufurahishwa kwake kuwa kwa ukubwa wa nyumba ile, jopo la watu ambao wangemsaidia kuandika kitabu wakiongozwa na Haroub wangepata nafasi ya kukaa bila bugudha, bahati mbaya baada ya hapo ndipo ugonjwa na baadaye umauti vikamkuta.

Uzuri umeweka picha ambayo ina bango la kuwa ni mawakala wa mafuta ya taa ya Shell Crown. Lakini pia kuna bango la Cocacola na pembeni kuna lingine ambalo bidhaa zake hazionekani vizuri. Kwa picha hiyo ni dhahiri kuwa alikuwa anauza bidhaa zaidi ya mafuta ya taa. Sasa kama kwenye hili unasema uongo kwa nini tukuamini kwenye mengine?
